Sunday Roll Call
Well, good afternoon everyone. Dave and I got up early after the ball game last night at the Schaumburg Flyers game, went to our neighbor's son's 12th grade graduation party. We have already been down to Chgo to church at Willow Chicago and we decided to come back early because the wind was so cold and it was only 61 down there.
I have my flowers, tomatoes, peppers and herbs all watered. Fell into a gold mine as my neighbor was throwing out two plastic terra cotta colored planters. I was going to buy that size tomorrow for more flowers to balance out the clematis arbor in back. She saved me 15 bucks. There were in perfect shape and just need to have the dirt cleaned off on the outside.
Going to sit on the driveway and read for a while and watch "The Fords go by" as my dad used to say. In other words just chillin'.

Hey all-
Birder aka Connie requested I poke my hed into this board sometimes. I've been back in Illinois for about 6 months now. I was originally banded in Arizona and am now doing my follow up care with UW Madison.
I'm really looking to make permanent changes for a healthier happier me, and looking for friends along the way to help in the process!
Michelle
Hi Michelle. Welcome to the Illinois board. You'll find us friendly and supportive. I'm glad that Connie told you to stop by and visit. We are a close knit group and get along very well. Several of us have been banded. I'm just 2 weeks out; I had a RNY almost 3 years ago but had some regain.
Visit us often!

hi Michelle, welcome to the Illinois forum. I'm pretty new here too but you'll find everyone is so friendly and supportive. It had been a terrific experience for me and I haven't even had surgery yet. Paulette

Hi Michelle, Originally I thought I'd have Lapband surgery but after I went to a info meeting on wls and after meeting with 2 Plastic surgeons , they all advised RNY since I have to lose so much quickly so I can have the spinal fusion surgery sooner. I also met with Dr. Vitello at Univ Of Illinois- Chicago and he said also RNY, of course BC/BS is making me go through all the hoops first, so I'm praying the fracture stays put till I can have surgery.
