Sunday Roll Call

Hi Paula. I think it would be exciting to work with the police. I didn't know that you were having some health issues, but stress will do that to you. That happened to me when my hernia strangulated, I was under so much stress with no way out at work..... my body forced me to take some rest. I wish I could say that my weight continues to drop. Maybe after my fill. What about going away to a nice hotel not to far away for the weekend. Somewhere with a nice relaxing pool and a spa. Take care, Lucy

Hi Lucy, It is a pretty exciting workplace at times.  And you get to hear stuff that is pretty crazy, too.  I don't answer 911 calls, I am pretty much on the radio with the officers for my whole shift.  We can go from moments of complete boredom and "routine" radio traffic, to very high-stress situations (shots fired at/by police, vehicle pursuits, train derailments, etc) within seconds.  The best part of the job is that I get to assist the officers in their job, if only via radio and computer. I've been having some issues with solid foods lately.  Things that would pass through the band with no problem are now getting stuck. It is certainly related to some outside stressors in my life.  Taking care of an elderly parent, high stress job, etc.   It's getting better though!!! I think that because for so long, food was a coping mechanism to suppress feelings and emotions. Now, I am forced to face head-on my emotions and issues and real-life situations that everything comes to the surface and I have to find other ways to cope.....and non-destructive ways at that. I'm still learning though...and I stumble and fall every once in a while. I like that idea of a little spa getaway....I will have to look into that.  I'm also thinking I need to book another massage and mani-pedicure, too.   I think once you have your fill, you will do just fine!!  It takes a lot of patience, and in my case a LOT of time too.  (but hey, I guess I'm must be a late bloomer!! lol!! ) take care, Paula

good morning!  i have been hiding i'll admit it!  i have been lost in the world of home renovations!  kitchen and bathroom remodeling while the house is in a shambles!  my daughter turns 9 tomorrow and she is still sleeping (our sleepy head always).  my husband is prepping her walls and i am priming her furniture and we are surprising her with painting her room today as an early bday present! she has been waiting and waiting patiently but we had told her that she needed to wait until the rest of the house was complete, but we decided to give her this treat as an added bday present.  it is a hawaiian theme and she asked for two walls hot pink and two walls lime green! :) have a good day everyone!  have fun at the pool lucy!  a cruise sounds heavenly!  carol i hope your back feels better!  i have heard that as you lose weight, your body adjusts and maybe this is a result?  good luck!!

Happy Sunday everyone! I just poped in to see what's going on.  I saw Sex and the City today and yep, I loved it!   Going out again in a little bit for dinner.  Going to Claim Jumpers so we can sit outside on such a gorgeous day. Hope everyone is well and wishing you all a great week.
Regards and hugs,

Hi Karey,  I think it's  a muscle pull. I was carrying my grandson yesterday when we went for a walk. He's about 28 pounds and he was falling asleep, so it was like carrying dead weight. I carried him for about 3 blocks. I took some tylenal and it seems to help a bit. Also walked today and stretched.

Hello everyone!!!  I got up everyone hour on the hour since 6, I guess I just should have stayed up...now I'm groggy.  I have sleep apenia and hoping my weight loss will help! Paula, I look forward to the day where I enjoy excercise...Keep it up! Carol, bad back that STINKS!  I have a herniated disk (another reason) I'm getting lap bank...LOL  I actually had two epidurals for them, my back is ok now.  I always like those heating patches to wear under your clothes...those helped me the most...last like 8 hours.  Make sure you streatch, lay on the floor and pull your legs to your chest. Lucy glad to see your much better then before and your out and about!  I never watched Sex and the City...but the movie looks good, whould I need to see the series?  I know that Carrie and Big were on again off again in the series, but that's about it. Happy SUNday! Lynne

Hi Lynne. You should be able to pick up the history on Sex & the City, as they do show some historical scenes. So I don't think you need to watch the series. Weight loss will help many of anyone's health issues. I didn't have sleep apnea. I had hypertension and stress incontinence (loss of urine when sneezing, coughing...). That all went away after some weight loss. Happy Sunday to you too! Lucy

Hi Christina. Wow, what a graduation gift. I was lucky to get $10.00! I mentioned your get together to Willow, so she is going to check her working schedule. I'm sure that everyone is looking forward to it. Lucy
