Good morning Christine and Illinois! I hate grounds in my coffee too! I've got a busy week-end ahead! Yeah! Today we are going to  a wedding in Dyer,Indiana. It is being held at Meyer's Castle. I've never been there and have heard it is a nice place.. Tomorrow I have my great-nephews birthday party, so I will also be spending time with Ava and Vince. Sunday will be a day to relax and regroup. Lisa, I know what you forgot to pack......me! Have a great vacation! I hope everyone has a wonderful week-end!  May all the new losers get up and walk, sip and rest!   May all of those who are MIA, check in with us! I feel like I'm giving a toast....got to go...later....

Good Morning Illinois.  It's a rainy day here - possible Tornado watch.  Only raining b/c I watered all my outside plants last night!  Dad's MRI came back clean - which means the cancer has not spread to his brain.  We are still waiting for results from the Catscan to see if it's spread anywhere else.  His kidney function is low so they can't be AS aggressive with the chemo as they planned - but are still going strong. Hope you all have a great weekend!   Denise

Good Morning IL Family,

Chris, are you and Dave going to the Flyers game tomorrow evening??  Mike and I will be there.  I hope the weather is nice for that.

Today I am driving the kids to their last full day of school because Jacob had to bring in some drinks for their party and I didn't want him taking them on an over crowded bus.  Then I will run to Lowe's and get some potting soil. I want to try and get a few pots of flowers planted before the rain comes.  They shouldn't get damaged though because they are kinda on our front covered porch.

Tonight is Tyler's first ever formal dance and I can't wait to see him all decked out.  I will get pictures.  he's really turning into a fine young man.  He's got a party afterwards and that kinda stinks because he will need to be picked up at Midnight:30  (that's what the invite says..lol)
It's not far but I am usually not up that late!  Kinda inconsiderate of the parents I think to make it that late.  oh well

Well I gotta run so the kids aren't late!  Have a great and safe day today

hi everyone!  i hope that everyone that is travelling, has safe travels!  its kinda funny about the grounds in coffee because that happened to me this morning!  nothing worse than taking a big sip only to gag and spit it back out because of grounds floating all over.  =)   i'm doing well with sticking to the diet plan so far.  3 days down and if my scale is to be believed, i've lost 12 pounds!!!  i know that its all water weight at this point, but it was still really nice to see that it has in fact moved!  i weighed in at 283 this morning!!  =)  woohoo!   nothing much going on for us today.  some shopping in between thunderstorms and a birthday party tomorrow in wisconsin to go to.  my husbands sister is getting married next weekend and my girls  are flower girls and my husband is best man so he's throwing the bachelor party tomorrow.  that should be fun to hear about come sunday! lol  hope everyone has a great friday and an even better weekend!!!

Dear Christie: That is AWESOME!!!!  Keep up the great work and stick with the program. I am trying more shakes, less food for a few days to see if that will move my 10 month plateau at all so we are in this together!

Good morning everyone...Coffee yum! grounds in it yuk!!  Today I have an appt with the Dr. to find out about have a sleep study done. Other than that have a few errands to run but depending on the weather we may put them off until tomorrow. My MB is almost done and ready for the drywallers. My knees finally feel better today. But obviously with the weather I may not get out to walk so I'll concentrate on the PT exercises they gave me to do.  The food thing is going good except for when the hubby suggests lasagna for dinner. I think he is tired of my diet. I told him he could eat it but I would stick with my food plan. He said he doesn't feel right eating it in front of me. Don't know why as most things with spaghetti sauce give me heartburn anyway, so I usually avoid them.  Paulette

You know Paulette, You can make the lasagna with zucchini thinly sliced instead of noodles.

The last time I made it for the family, I used noodles for their half of the pan and zucchini sliced lengthwise, really thin, for my half of the pan.  It was really good and my kids even liked it! Just an idea......

I don't know why i didn't think of this! I have made lasagna substituting the zucchini for the meat before, makes sense it would work for the pasta too.  This is what I love about this board somone always has an idea to adjust a situation. Earl will be happy cause he gets his lasagna, and we can eat the same meal together. he loves zucchini too.  Thanks, Paulette
