Doc in or near St Louis that takes Illinois Public Aid??

I met a lady while visiting my family and she is on public aid and interested in the surgery - any info anyone has is greatly appreciated and I'll pass it on. Thanks for your help!! ali

There are surgeons there in st louis. I am in edwardsville, about 20 mins from st louis. When I called like 2 months ago there was a waiting list all the way to 2009. Crazy huh? I actually went to peoria and had mine done at methodist weight loss center with Dr Salimath. They are awsome!!!

Hello, am also on public aid and my surgery date is June 6th. I listed as much information in the Medicaid area (at the top of this forum) as I could so hopefully it helps. I found my doctor in Chicago after searching and receiving a LOT of "we don't accept public aid" (though it stated that they did). Your friend will have a lot of work to do--kind of trial and error or call and reject/accept. My surgeon is Vivek Prachand and I love him so far...ask me how I feel after surgery. Well, I hope this information or the info I posted in the Medicaid area helps some. Good luck Cherie
