Intro!!!

Hi all!  I haven't been on OH in such a long time, I feel like a newbie again. =)  We gotta start somewhere eh?  Here we go! My name is Christie I'm in the NW burbs of Chicago.  I had RNY in August of 2002.  I started at 330 and 18 months later, was 165.  Unfortunetly, I got very lazy.  3 baby girls later and 4 years, my weight is back at 300.   My "ah hah" moment was this past weekend at a bbq at moms house.  She was showing me pics and we happened across some pictures of me at my lowest weight.  WOW!  I looked good!  =)  That got me thinking about how good i felt back then and everything I was able to accomplish.  I was training for the chicago marathon!  then, I was pregnant and all changed.  I got complacent.  Looking at those pictures really hit me hard over the head!  Especially when on friday, I took my kids downtown to have lunch with dad and I was miserable!  I was huffing and puffing just walking around pushing a stroller.   So, today I'm beginning again.  Today is the 1st day of the 5 day pouch test.  I NEED to make this work for me again!  I'm here begging for support and a few hands to hold.  I know this is going to be hard for me, but if I have more people that understand, it could make it so much easier for me!!  Thank you so much in advance!!  I look forward to getting to know everyone!   christie

Hi and Welcome back Christie!   I am in the far west burb of Chicago and only 7 weeks out today and doing okay for the most part. 

You came to the right place for support and making friends!  You couldn't ask for more helpful people here.  They have been a lifesaver for me that's for sure.

Hi Christie!  As everybody else has said, you are in the right place!  Watch for Lucy, she's from your town as well and she too had a regain.  She just had a lap band put in on top of her RNY and can tell you all about it.  Bu****ch out, she's a wild thing!!!  As for myself, I was banded on May 3rd.  So I'm a bit new to this.  However, I lived with someone who had open RYN seven years ago and has not had a regain.  I'm happy to offer any and all support that I can.  Paul
