Good Morning Everyone!  I guess I'm the early bird once again.  I'm excited to say that I am wearing a polo shirt today, that hasn't fit in six months!  Not only does it fit, but it's a slight bit loose!!  I'm still avoiding the scale, but it is encouraging to see changes.  Several people have commented on my "color".  That I am looking healthy.  I never realized that my color was off before, but I'll take all the benefis I can get!  Today is hump day and I'm looking forward to getting through it.  Tonight we are going to a restaurant that sent me a 2 for 1 coupon for my birthday.  We are bringing my best friend to play me in the roll of coupon holder (so we don't have to waste the deal!), and I'll either get a kids meal or share some of Liz's food.  Have a great day!  Paul

Good Morning Paul and the rest of my IL family,  Paul enjoy you meal tonight, We are going out for My Birthday on Friday to my Favorite Mexican Rest.  For me today not much going on Jim's Sister from Ca. is coming over for a visit today, and I don't know what we will do then, Hope everyone has a great day. and pray for the warm weather to come back I am  so cold Shiver  now that I don't have that extra fat.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Good Morning IL family!

Congrats on fitting into the polo Paul!  that is exciting. Enjoy your dinner tonight too!

Today I am debating on going to the store for nylons to wear with my goucho type capris I bought for Tyler's graduation tonight.  I'm not sure it will be warm enough without them...LOL  We froze at his ball game last night but they won, so it was worth it!

Other than that, I will clean the bathroom and try to do more straightening up around here.  I live with pigs it seems and no one wants to help, but only do things half......way.  I am sick and tired of it.

Yesterday's Dr's visit went well.  I eased the fears of a mom in the waiting room, who's daughter was being sent back to the hospital for a bad infection.  Made me feel great knowing that I helped a little bit.  I lost another 1.5 lbs and Dr R told me that I could slowly start using weights and increasing my activity to what I feel comfy with.  Yay!!

He also talked to me about the biopsy some more and told me that this does increase my risk of breast cancer in the future because they did find some duct epithelial hyperplasia in there too.  So I just have to follow it every 6 months with a mammo and I need to call my ob/gyn today to schedule an appt with him soon so he can also follow it.   makes me a little nervous, but I am certainly not going to dwell on it because I am doing all I can to get myself healthy and lose this weight.

I hope everyone has a great day, stay warm and at least the sun is shining!

Good morning Paul and Illinois! Not much going on here today. Going to the gym tonight to work out. Only did a short stint last night as I left to go to the support group meeting. They had a plastic surgeon there and I found it very informative. Of course my journey has only just begun and it would be awhile before I would use his services, if at all.  Hope everyone has an enjoyable day!

Hi everyone.....geez it every going to get hot and stay hot???  I mean I don't like it HOT HOT, but warm would be nice...LOL  I guess that's why i live in Illinois?  Oh yea my family is here...LOL I'm like addicited to this website, seems like I can't get enough information I'm soaking it all up before my big day. The nurse to my doctor seems like I bother him when I email him a question. Tells me to relax..I'm like I'm sorry you go through this 1000 times a day, but this is important to me, I want to make sure I'm going to be alright.  So now I feel bad asking him things.  So THANK GOD FOR  you guys and this web site. Carol do you normally work out during the day?  I'm looking for a workout partner, but I could only do nights. Anyway, hope everyone has a good day...My baby graduates tonight from 8th grade,  tears are in my eyes.

Hi Lynne, Silver Cross gym allows their bariatric patients to work out in their gym.  I just started to go there. Usually I walk in the morning/early afternoon then I can use the gym on Tues, Wed , & Thur. Being unemployed does have its advantages.

OH that's nice about Silver Cross!  Wow I have two friends that have the band done  there and they never told me that.  Even though it would be a drive for me, that's nice that they offer that!   I didn't even shop around for hospitals, I just had my last 4 surgerys at Little Company of Mary and just looked up the doctor there?  Plus my primary is there and we are friends. I'm so excited though I just bought the Wii Fit, so hopefully i can get into some kind of routine.  Maybe I won't be too shy to get into a gym near me after surgery!

Good morning everyone.  I think I'm getting close to getting pre-approval from my insurance company.  They received the letter from my primary physician on the 23rd.  They faxed back a request for more information.  It's a good thing I called and checked with my Dr's office.  They thought I had to do the next step before they could send the information my Ins. company needed.  My Ins. company was waiting on my Dr's office to send the information before they would let me take the next step.  It's all sooooo much red tape.  And it takes so long.  It's going to be really hard for me to be patient for the time (at least 6 months) that this is going to take.
