Good morning to all my new friends!  What a wake-up call this am!  Went to bed with the window open just a little but forgot the ceiling fan was on......brrrrr! Today the hubby is working on the bedroom again. I'm off to run a couple errands then get the granddaughters for awhile. Today should be a good day to spend a couple hours at the library, they've been asking to go. I think cheyanne is old enough for her own Library card now.  Have a great day everyone! Paulette

Good morning Paul and Illinois! I sure hear you about the meals and portions when dining outside of the home. It's hard to get used to it. I'm sure that I'm going to learn a lot about my band once I get a fill. My doc told me though it is not any different than with having the RNY. So, I guess that I will see. I'm at work and have a full day ahead. I was hoping to leave early today but I don't think I can leave early - too much going on. Gotta go!! Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone. Hugs, Lucy

Okay, kids I am finally on after surverying my kingdom of my yard (I love my flowers!! ), work and having my hair cut  & colored a while ago.  I have the hiccups and I cannot get rid of them. Usually it only lasts for about 20 minutes at the most but it is going on an hour now. I have gulped water, held my breath you name it. I think I ate some pork too fast.  Okay, you newbies - just because you cannot eat the WHOLE thing that you ordered for a meal it does not mean that you cannot take the rest as left overs for another meal. Dave and I have done that for 5+ years (AND yes we have thrown food out as that is NOT sinful!!!!!!!!, do it as it is better than on your hips). We always have a cooler in one of our cars or we are realitivly close to home to put it in a fridge. (yes and we travel with a cooler and stay at places that have a fridge)  I bought a 3+ inch white potato from the store on Sunday and I have 2 more meals coming up from it (with meat), as I have had 2 meals from it already.  Even when we travel to the Dells or elsewhere we have some of those leftovers as a snack as it is a great protein snack. It is called LEFTOVERS everyone and sometimes they are better than the first time you ate what you prepared or bought. Dave and I tell each other that we are CHEAP DATES as we do not eat very much.
