Good Morning Paul and my IL board friends, Not much in the works for today other than a walk in the forest preserve in Oakbrook.   Yesterday we went to a bbq with friends/co-workers.  It was a nice time, and I am learning that I am pretty much loved by the people on the other end of the radio. BF has been such a great support to me lately, as I have been having some major food issues.  My band seems super-tight even though I haven't had a recent fill.  So he had to run intereference for me during the cook out since everyone kept trying to push food (and drinks) on me. All in all, it was a wonderful day. Tonight is back to work so other than taking a walk, I will be cleaning, etc. take care everyone,

Good morning Illinois! Did we skip summer and go straight to fall? I'm wearing a wool jacket to work today. Oh well, it's my favorite and it won't fit by fall, so I shouldn't complain.

Sounds like everyone's holiday was fun. Ours was very quiet. No cookouts, just leftovers from Saturday evening. Next weekend though, I have a workshop the whole weekend which will be interesting and challenging.

I hope you all have a nice day today. Stay warm.

Good morning Paul and rest of Illinois, I spent most of yesterday outside doing yard and playing with the kids. IT just amazes me how much fun it can actually be. Last summer I would have just sat on the swing and watched them. Now I like getting down and dirty with them. We pulled out all of the bushes from around the house and getting ready to landscape the area. I am just shocked by the work and price that it cost to do all of it.  I hate this weather. I wi**** was nice and warm. Tonight my little guy has a baseball game and I do believe that we will all be huddled to gether for it. I hope that everone has a great day and stays warm. Measha

Good Morning Everyone! I haven't been around in forever in a day so its nice to see everyone is doing well. How did everyone do as far as eating over the weekend? Any binging horror stories?? I hope not! I, unfortunately, am still plateaued and have not dropped any weight in 2 months. I am bouncing between the same 4 pounds and it is driving me crazy. In fact, this weekend I biked over 40 miles and this morning I weighed 4 pounds more than I did Friday- so encouraging. I'm going to see Dr. Rantis and Karyn today at 1:45 so hopefully a fill will do me some good.

Hi Kristen......glad you came on the board and posted something!   I miss you!!!  I'm having those same kind of stalls too, but it's going down and not up.....that's all I care about.   Sounds like you're getting good exercise......It's going to drop for you....just takes longer with the band, and I know you know that!   You have lost a bunch already!   Don't be such a lurker!  I should talk!  LOL Hugs  Pam

Good morning Paul and the rest of Illinois! This weather is horrible!!!!  I can't believe how cold it is.....yesterday, shorts and a summer shirt; today, long jeans, boot socks, and 3 tops!  Maybe summer will arrive soon and decide to stay.  I sure hope so for those of you that have pools! We had a nice, but busy weekend.  Graduation parties on Saturday and Sunday, a Riverhawks game Saturday night and a Madison trip yesterday. Olivia got to run the "hamster ball race" at the Riverhawks on Saturday and she was SOOOO excited!  She invited her cousin to race against her and they had a great time! I slept over 14 hours between Sunday and Monday.  I must have needed it.  I could go for a nap right now actually. I have an appointment with the hemotologist next Monday, and hopefully, I am ready for an iron infusion so that I can get my energy back.  It sounds stragnge to be hoping for an infusion, but if my levels are not low enough, I can't have an infusion.  With the fatigue I've been feeling, I know that an infusion will help. Tonight, after work, I am taking David to get his driver's permit.  He is pretty excited.  We went on Saturday, but they were closed for the holiday and he was a bit disappointed. Everyone try to stay warm, and have a wonderful day!

Hi Dawn. I have low iron and was diagnosed last June as part of my 2 year check-up. My doc put me on Hematogen Forte 1 tab a day and my iron levels went up. I was so tired all the time last year and didn't know why. I was lucky that I didn't have to have the iron IV therapy. Good luck!! Lucy

Hi Dawn. Yes, I did regain my energy and my iron levels went up within 3 months at the low end of normal... I am still taking the medication though. I am due for my 3 year labs next month. Lucy
