Good Morning Everybody!! Well, it is official....I'm banded and I am on my way back home!! Woo-Hoo!  I am right now at the airport and am waiting for my flight to go home here shortly but yet now soon enough. Anywho, I am beyond pleased with the levle of care & professionalism that I was treated with at Hospital Angeles in Juarez, Mexico.  I haven't had that kind of care or treatment here in the states EVER when I have gone into the hospitial for anything.  I will say I was beyond impressed. The hospital it self was very clean & the nurses waited on us hand and foot w/a smile on their face.  My two Dr.'s that worked on me before the surgery, after the surgery and last night before going to bed they came to check up on me and just to come and talk to see if there was anything I wanted to talk about, discuss, anything!  One of them stayed in my room for almost an hour talking about anything I could think of that I had questions about the band.  After speaking to him, an overwhelming sense of relief came over me and I knew everything was going to be all right. When I came out of surgery I was a little sore and more than anything it felt like I had done a ton of sit-ups and my tummy was sore.  I could feel all the air/gas in there pushing against the band.  So far I have had restriction just due to the swelling but I know while I was eating my clear broth/water/jello I was only able to get half of it down.  I tried to eat more but I could feel it coming back up.  I stopped and let it sit for a while and it I started again.  It went down but then I felt stuck and knew that I needed to listen more closely to my body and eat a little slower.  Well, I must say that I have no complaints yet, thus far.  When I arrived at the airport and was checking in my bags they wanted to bust my chops w/my bottle water and I told the guy that I was only able to have clear liquids and just had surgery!!!  Well, the guy all of a sudden changed his tune and did a complete 360 turn!!  He told me he just had surgery a year ago himself in Mexico and has lost 120lbs and is going strong.  He was very encouraging and told the rest of the crew to lay off and give ma hand w/my bags because I just had surgery!  I thought about asking for some assistance walking andall but I decided against it.  I figured I had 2 hours before my flight leaves and I taking advantage of it.  I walked all the way and it has helped soothe my stomach.  Well, sip, sip, walk, walk, rest, rest, sip, sip...yup that's what I am doing!!  Chunk-a-butt move aside because this monkey is on it's way to be C-H-U-N-k-A-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!! FAT POUNDS THAT HAVE BEEN HOLDING ME DOWN....THIS IS WHAT I SAY TO YOU!!!!!!
