Hi, welcome to the Illinois board.I really can't help you, except to say you picked a great medical team. I had lapband 7 mts ago and have had no problem, We do have one member who had had a ryn, and then a lapband. You might want ot post this on the general board.
Please come in to our daily roll call and tell us about yourself. We love to have new people join our happy family.
Hi Lisa, I was checking out the Illinois board because I am originally from there, I am now in tn, but noticed you had mentioned someone whom had a lapband placed over their RNY, do you happen to know when they had that done and how they are doing? I am having a band placed over my RNY in june, and want to make sure I am doing the right thing? how are you doing with your band? do you regret it at all? I appreciate any feedback I can get! Hang in there!!! thanks Nancy
Hi Lisa,
I just had the lapband surgery on May 27. I am home but my tummy at one of the incision sites is sore. Dr. Kane from the Kane Center was my surgeon.
I was wondering if your tummy was sore and if so for how long? Also when did you start to notice your weight loss? I am still trying to get in 4 ounces of food a day as well as six meals a day. Not quite there. How do I get on the daily roll call?
Check out the revision forum and I'm sure people can offer you some advice from their journeys. Also, I often see people getting revised from the band and RNY to the duodenal switch (DS). You can check out the DS forum on OH, too, for more info.
Good luck!
Nicolle
