Good Morning Everbody in IllinoiSSSSSS!! Gotta pronounce that S at the end!! Well, thank the Lord for friends and support.  Yesterday I had a crisis of sort and I caved horrible and had some pizza when I am supposed to be on the "liquid" diet of sorts.  I am so ashamed and dissapointed that after doing so well for over a week that I was dumb enough to let that Pizza attack me and take over me and make love to my taste buds!! *Deep sigh* Ooh I paid for it....all night long my stomach was giving me sooooooo much attitude about it that I was up half the night drinking water & feeling like somebody had taken a baseball bat to my stomach! Won't be doing that again. So, right now I am sipping some hot tea to soothe my stomach so I can continue to drink water, protein shakes and be ready for me to fly out tomorrow for Friday's surgery!! Wish me luck!!

Thank you all for your kinds words of encouragement!! Greatly appreciated!  I am now to the point I just want it done and over with so I can start this journey.  I am a little hesitant on the pain but I figure if I was able to handle carrying a child in my stomach that was in breach position stuck sideways like a watermelon- bent in half like a pretzel w/his legs crossed and then endure passing kidney stones and a c-section....yep I'm good to go!!  I do believe like many have said the head hunger/bordem will get me.  Also, I love to eat spicy/flavorful food- though w/severe gerd (acid reflux) I am to the point that it isn't worth it. Learning to "retrain" the taste buds to enjoy other kinds of food is hard but I am doing pretty good switching to sugar free stuff and learning to eat protien in different manners.  I know I would like the satisfaction of losing a ton of weight NOW like you do w/RY surgery but considering genetics, age and sagging skin at the rate of my boobs and muffin top heading south like migatory bird in the winter....I'll have to be patient that it didn't take a month or two to get this way and it won't be that fast to lose it.  I know I have to overcome some other obstacles w/my health but I am sure that taking the weight off will greatly increase my chances to overcome the other things.  You know I find it ironic now that I just saw a picture my husband found prior to my "huge" weight gain.....and as I looked at I was shocked to see how "skinny" I was back then but how mentally I was so negative of what I was.  Amazing.  To be THAT fat again...uggghh...can't wait!!
