ILLINOIS FORUM- PPL ARE MUCH NICER & PLEASANT

Good Afternoon! I just wanted to say that the people on the Illinois Forum are a lot nicer, pleasant and easier to talk for the most part. I have visited some other states on their message boards and I have posted some questions only to have some nasty, mean comments made back and have people talk down to me like I am stupid and have no clue. Sad but true! Anyways, I just want to tell you all that I really enjoy logging in on the morning to read the roll call's for the day and see how everybody is donig.  It is very encouraging and uplifting!! Seriously all and all- THANK YOU!!

Hi chunky munky! I wish I knew your name as I feel I'm making fun of you. I'm glad you find us a nice group of people. I have met several of the people who post here and they are really nice!  Join in the roll call!

Thank you for the compliments and I for one try to treat the board and people on it as I would wish to be treated.   I used to post on other boards also, but have decided that this is my "home" where my "family" and friends are. I agree that some of the other boards can be a bit intimidating to say the least. I am glad that you are here and most folks here are ready, willing and able to be friendly.

Thank you for the compliment. We on this board have ALWAYS tried to be supportive of the others because that is what this is about. I know what you mean about the other boards with the attitudes of the members. You really need to be thick skinned to go on some of them. I mainly lurk on the other boards but sometimes I have to interject because others are WAY off base. I have ended up blocking some members because of how they treat others. I have been flamed and really do not care. I will go on the neighboring state boards (IA for example) and it is really sad how slow some of them are with days going by without a thread posted or replied to. This board is really active considering the size of our state. It also says a lot for the pre ops and POs on our board that newer ones look to the POs for sound advice etc. And the newer members - pre ops/PO want to educate themselves in the new healthy lifestyle changes.  Take care.

THANK YOU! I have to agree with the others, this is home and most of us get addicted to the Illinois group. We really are friends and family. Afterall, who else would put up with all the questions and lows and highs we all have. We try to get together a few times a year, and you are invited. I also go on the lapband board, but mostly stay here Give us some background on you. We would love to know you better. Hugs
