Hi everyone!

We had our 6 month psych appointments yesterday which we found very helpful. Hadn't met this woman before, but what she had to say made sense! Will write more about that soon.

Dawn, the Flower Factory: go south on 14 from the beltline to A which is just past Oregon. Turn left on A and it's a few miles on  your left. You can't miss it. Right now it is open from 9-7 during the week. It is all perennials. I sat under a tree and read while Kay shopped!

Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine.

Connie

Good moning Marilyn, I am up and going early too this AM but not as early as you.. Not much going on here today working in the yard and that is about it for me,  Lucy today is your big day I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you rejoin the losers bench.  I too have mailed out my May gift. I hope she recived it. I have not heard anything yet. Hope everyone has a good day.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Good Morning everybody!  DC was a very good trip and I accomplished what I needed to.  However, it was a very long day and I didn't get home until late so I'm very tired today.  The scale continues to go down!  And I haven't gone back to peanut butter yet!  The way that started was that I bought little cups with lids and made my own little 1 Tablespoon organic, sugar free cups for snacks (for when I'm ready for real food).  I know a lot of people buy those single portion cups to carry with them.  I just decided that I would rather have non-sugar, organic ones.  The cost works out about the same, and the carbs and protein are just slightly better, but it gives me a good feeling to know I'm eating more healthy.  Anyway, when I was cleaning up, I just had to lick the spatula.  No guilt, or pain, but I figure I will play by the rules until I'm completely healed.  No sense screwing up my surgery!  I look forward to Saturday when I start full liquids!  I never could believe that pudding would be the highlight of my day!  Lucy, your spot on the bench has been sanded and repainted and will be dry and ready today!  Knowing you, you'll be getting a red velvet band with black lace!!!  Have a great day everyone!  Paul

Good Morning Marilyn and the rest of my IL family.

Well today I head off to see Dr R about this "hole" in my incision on my belly now.  I don't get why it opened up after being completely healed and sealed already.  Hopefully it's just something easy to fix it.  I also have to talk to him about the meds they gave me.  They are NOT going down so he's gonna have to give me something different.

Other than that, I have nothing planned until Tyler gets home from school, then me and him are heading over to Fox Valley Paintball to talk to them about his birthday/grad party he wants. I have NO idea how expensive it is and I have a limit.  His dad, my ex, is going to split the cost with me though, so that's helpful.

Nothing else really on the adgenda today, my belly is a little sore so I will rest.  The boys are off of school tomorrow and Saturday is my baby's 12th birthday!!

have a happy day everyone!

Monica

good morning everyone!  i am day 2 post op!!  last night i started feeling nausea, however.  it more more like dry heeves and big burps coming up but i had to hold a towel to my abdomen b/c of the pain and fear of the staples popping.  each time it happened i took a walk around the block and then felt better.  but i felt it in the middle of the night and now after i woke up.  mike gave me something for the nausea at 4:30 but i dont' know if it was that or the ambien that put me to sleep.  anyway, i will ask at my appt. this morning at 9:30.   i hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning Marilyn and the rest of Illinois! I wish you great results on your labs Monday so hopefully, you can get off some of that medicine! I am thinking of Lucy, and LOVE Paul's comment about the red velvet! I am working today, as usual.  At lunch, I will run to Wal-Mart to get a razor for David.  Today is his "Golden" birthday and the fuzz and stray hairs on his face need to come off.  He wants to go to Madison on Saturday and have a fire later Saturday night to celebrate with friends. Not much else going on with me today. Wishing you all a spectacular, sunny day!
