Update on Me
Imagine my surprise when I get to the dentist this morning (all the way up in Buffalo Grove) and they take x-rays and tell me that the tooth that is bothering me already has a root canal! I was like, well why does it hurt so bad then? Turns out there is an abcess under it. So they numbed me up and then did an I&D of it. (Incision and drainage). Only problem...it won't drain right. The dentist said that it's like a pimple and hasn't come completely to a head yet. She left the hole open in my gums and put meds in there and said that it will in the next day or two. The only pain that I still have now is in my jaw and the soft tissue right next to the bone, on the outside. Oh and my left tonsil hurts when I swallow from the infection. She gave me a mouth rinse with an antibiotic in it, since she didn't want to give me anything that might upset my tummy.
Let me tell you ladies. This dentist I saw was from Nigeria and she was the BEST. She talked to me, telling me how proud she was of me and she did these massage things on my head/face/ears to relax me and I honestly felt NO pain while she did anything. She was truly amazing. I told her she needed to move down here by me so I could just use her as my regular dentist. lol
So now I wait and she said that the next 2-3 days are crucial in seeing if this will work or if the tooth has to be pulled!! Please pray that this works, I do not want to have a tooth pulled.
Oh, guess what, while Mike and I were gone, a total of about 4 1/2 hours this morning, the boys all pitched in and cleaned the house. They dusted, did the dishes, cleaned counters and even vacuumed for me. I just love those rotten kids. lol
they have been taking good care of me since I've been home too and actually I should be resting for the rest of today. I can't talk she said, she wants my mouth to rest and not be strained for anything...lol
