Okay I started the soft food stage yesterday and I need some suggestions for breakfast ideas....I can tolerate eggs no problem, but am getting tired of scrambled eggs for breakfast.  lol   I don't do cheese well, but only because I don't like it.

What else can I have that's fairly quick and easy??
thanks!

Monica

yogurt with extra protein powder in it. egg salad, tuna salad, canned chicken salad, deviled ham salad. You really do not HAVE to have the traditional breakfast foods. Think outside the box and eat your hearts desire. I love breakfast at all times of the day but many times I will eat left overs from the night before that I have in the fridge.

My pouchie seems the most grouchy in the morning so I don't want to put anything too "heavy" in it.

I will try to think outside of the box and eat whatever I feel like it and not the traditional breakfast foods!  thanks for the reminder

Hi Monica, I know you said you don't do cheese well, but have you tried cottage cheese with cinnamon and splenda? Whenever I'm not sure about what I'm going to eat, this is what I have. For me it's like having desert.

Add 1/2 scoop to 1 scoop protein protein powder to each serving of this: (I LOVE this stuff!  It's great with the Greek Yogurt.) BAKED OATMEAL 'CUSTARD' WITH BERRIES Vegetable Cooking Spray 1 cup + 2 tablespoons old-fashioned oats 1/4 cup Splenda granular 2 tablespoons sugar-free maple syrup 1 2/3 cup milk (or skim evaporated milk) 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla Pinch of salt 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries (or other berries) Topping: 3 tablespoons Splenda granular 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8x8 inch casserole with cooking spray and set aside. In a medium bowl stir together the oats, Splenda, maple syrup, milk, egg, vanilla, salt, and berries. Pour into prepared baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and set dial to BROIL. Sprinkle the 3 tablespoons Splenda and the cinnamon over the baked oatmeal and return to the oven. Broil for 2-3 minutes or until bubbly and golden. Serve with yogurt or cream. Makes 6 servings. Per Serving: 126 Cal; 6 g Protein; 3 g Tot Fat; 20 g Carb; 3 g Fiber; 6 g Sugar; 25 mg Sodium Also---- deli meat rolled with a small amount of mustard or Laughing Cow cheese spread over it.
