Awwww, shucks, thank you. Just getting ready to pop into the shower and get into work. I have a meeting to be to at Addison PD at 1 and a bit of work to do before hand. I had my yearly review yesterday and it was fantastic. It was a tough year and I was a little overwhelmed at times and a lot of the things thrown at all of us were hard to grasp and put into practice. I am ready to dig into this year and learn more. I received clearance from my superiors yesterday to go in uniform to see my nephew, Bill graduate from the Police Traning Institute in Urbana. I am pumped. I will drive down with my sister and ride back with another nephew, Russ who is also a copper. Russ, is presenting Bill with his certificate of completion. I am going to be there as "ornament". Bill became a cop because of Itasca's finest. He loved seeing them when they came into his grade school (in Itasca) when he was little. Our PD for close to 20 years has had an attitude that there needs to be close contact in a positive way with the citizens, and this is a WOOHOO to the IPD for accomplishing this. Chris

Christine..how awesome about your nephew..you must be so proud Policeman...My Johnny was a chicago police officer for 27 years, until he was stricken with his disease of SBMA.  I still remember the day he graduated from the Police academy.  My prayers for your nephew to have a safe journey as an officer.  Praise be to God for all His goodness & Graces.

Marilyn, I think the neat thing about the whole event is that I was there when Billy was born, IN THE ROOM. It was mom, dad, doctor and me, he was born at home. It was my one and only time that I have ever seen a human being born in person. Billy is a little older than most police candidates as it took him a little longer to figure himself out. He is so happy and yes ALL of the family is so very proud of him. Because I am the auntie of close to 150 nieces, nephews, great N & N's and great great I am smiling from ear to ear all the time. I am the only one of 7 kids that did not have any. All of my brothers and sisters are very productive Catholics, need I say more? We do not know what the exact number is because some of the N & N's have separeted themselves from the rest. Dave and I did babysit for 3 of our great greats yesterday as they live five doors from us. We loved every minute of it even though my eyes were hurting from the allergies today. We spent most of the time outside. Please pray for his younger sister though because she went into the Navy Reserves yesterday and she is a single mom of two boys 12 & 6. I do not think she realizes how much she is going to miss them even though they are in a really good place while she is gone. She will be gone 5 months with basic and her extended training. The Navy Reserves is the only military agency that will take a single mom. She has so many great plans for her kids. Chris

Good morning Marilyn and my IL family. I had a dr. appt yesterday with my  Rheumatologest  and my labs for my RA and up, so that is why I have been hurtting so much this past few weeks . I told him about my hip pain and he took some X rays of my hip too but still don't know the results yet. , I sure hope they can fine out what is causing me all this pain, I don't like to take all the pain pill's  .  For me today I am meeting some friends for coffee and then not much else going on for me, Hope everyone has a great day.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Good Morning IL Family.

It's supposed to be a beautiful day today, until the rain comes later tonight.  Today is going to by busy for me and I hope I don't over do it!  I have to try and get Jacob into the Dr this morning, he's still running low fevers on and off through the day and coughing and just not feeling well.  It's weird, because he'll feel great for an hour or two and then he'll feel terrible and just sleep.
I go to see Karyn today for my 4 week check up and I have a long list of questions for her.  I also get to start my soft diet today....so if anyone has any good suggestions to start with, let me know!
Then Tyler has a ball game that I would love to go to, but I guess that one will depend on just how I feel by then.  I haven't been to any games yet and with the weather so warm, it would be nice.

Yesterday afternoon I went for a walk and ended up sitting at a neighbor's house down the street for over 2 hours talking and visiting with her. It was nice.

I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys the sunshine

Monica
