Wedding Dress Update-WOWSER
So, I took the chance and brought my dress to our local 1 hr cleaners because I have seen wedding dresses in the store when I have gone in to pick up other cleaning in the past. The shop owner was very frank with me in saying that she did not know if they could get it clean and they were going to test a small area of it first. If they could not get it cleaned they were not going to charge me. In the least I had decided to have them press it along with my veil so I could still have the pictures done. My sister had suggested that I go to Michael's and have a larger bouquet made to cover the stained area if they could not get it clean and that was logical to me. The shop cleaner guy thinks that the place that preserved the dress to begin with did not rinse it completely and that is why the stains showed after so many years. The cleaners can order a new box to store it in again and reseal it.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!
I went in and picked the dress and veil up yesterday and it looks absolutely fabulous. All of the lace area and actually the whole dress is pure white now. It will look just fine in the pictures other than it does not zip all the way up in the back but they will be taking pictures of me from the front. They have clothing clips that they use to cinch up costumes that are too big. I will just have them put one on the back to close it as best it can be so it does not look baggy in the front. Now, I have to figure out if I want to use one of their bouquets at the old time photo studio or go buy something from Michael's or JoAnn Crafts.

Chris, this is good to hear about the dress. If you would like to have a bouquet made, I would be happy to help as my ex MIL owned a floral shop and I learned how to make bouquets. You can select the flowers you want at Michael's, and when you are done, you can use the same flowers for another arrangement in your home.
