Frustrated in the Quad Cities!
I had my Lap-Band surgery on 12/19/2005. The first year or so I had great success, almost 100 pounds lost. But now I have started gaining weight back. My surgeon left his practice and I ended up seeing another surgeon. last summer She said my pouch was too large, so she deflated my band for 3 weeks and then started to fill it back up again. Ever since then I have not lost any more weight and have even gained about 30 pounds back. I recently talked with my original surgeon and have an appointment with him in 3 weeks. I sure hope that he can find out why I am gaining weight. I felt so good after the 100 pound weight lost, but now feel so down and depressed over this weight gain. I am starting to feel hopeless again...just like I did when I was pre-op.
