Home from the Dr

Hello friends, I just got back from my sister's house.  She took me to the Dr today and I actually loved being able to spend time with her and NO kids.  lol

Okay so the Dr's appt went great.  I have no more G Tube and no more staples.  The G tube felt so weird coming out...lol  The staples hurt because scabs had formed over them.  Dr Rantis came in to see me (I saw Karyn, the best nurse in the world) and say hi and see how things were going.  he kept telling my sister what a trooper I have been.  I go back in 2 weeks for my next check.  Nothing is infected and the hole where the G tube was will heal from the inside out but pretty quick Karyn said.  It's gross how it gushed when I sat up though...LOL

I have lost a total of 23.5 lbs so far. woohoo.....

ooh oooh  I also ate some applesauce at my sister's and it tasted SO good!  LOL

23.5 pounds...allright!!  Your off to a great start.  Its time for the good things to start happening.  I'm happy for you Monica. ~Michelle

I am so glad Monica that things are finally starting to heal!  The g-tube....hated that thing..I bought some vitamin e oil and rubbed it on my scar every chance I got, it sure helps heal and keeps from that tight feeling you get, I also tried Bio-oil but I like the vitamin e oil better, I'm sure that stomach looks like a railroad track!  It gets better. Not too shabby after all you've been through.  Glad to hear you are on the mend and moving in the right direction.

Hey Monica - I'm glad you had a good day.  Way to go on the weight loss!! I figured the G tube was fine.  Mine got all red and gooey but when I called the office they told me that was normal because it's a foreign object trying to get out.  Glad you had no infection. You're on your way baby  Christina

Hi Lucy!  It's okay that it didn't work out coming to the hospital, the phone calls were nice!

I sure hope I am on my way to a speedy recovery.  I can actually say that I do feel better today.  lol  it's about time in my eyes.
