SURGERY POSTPONED

I am a wreck.  At 6:30 tonight, I found out my surgery will not be taking place tomorrow morning.  THis after 5 days of following a clear liquid diet and really struggling with my emotions.  I"m tentatively scheduled for next Tuesday, however, I don't know if I'm strong enough to do another 5 days of clear liquds while I still have an appetite. Thanks for all the well wishes on my surgery post, I appreciate the support.  I am just losing my mind right now. Denise

Denise..I am so sorry for your disappointment.  I hope everything goes by fast for you. Be sure to get in contact with your doctor about the clear liquids. Maybe they will change your diet for a few days.  Please hang in there its all worth it. Blessings to You

Did they give you a reason why it was postponed? This is just a little bump in the road, It will happen for you.

I'm sorry your surgery was postponed.  That really stinks.  My surgeon requires 14days on a liquid diet so you can do this for a few more days.  Just keep focused on the prize... your surgery. Hopefully your appetite will go away, mine did just after a few days on liquids so hopefully yours will too.  Stay busy .. if you need help keeping busy I can give you a list of things to keep you busy at my house LOL. Thank you all for the support.  The surgeon had a family emergency - so I completely understand.  I am hoping he lets me do "liquids" for 5 days as opposed to "clear liquids".  It was the "clear liquids" that was killing me.  I was at a $60/plate dinner Saturday night drinking chicken broth and water. GRRRRRRR. I'll keep you all posted. D

What a disappointment....I really feel for you, I thought of something like that happening to me when I went in....thank God it never happened.  I know you will be so ready by the time your surgery comes next week! Pam
