I have asthma, yesterday I went to the new Menards to check out the new garden center, and to get my grandkids a new swing to put on the swing set. Well here is the problem, I went inside the store and with in seconds I got so congested in my chest I was coughing it was horrible,  ( when I was a child I had hives from going to our church after it was built  from the new wood) so I went back out the the garden center.  I just thought the wood was all outside and with steel beams I would be ok. Well since then I have had some weezing, and my band feels so much tighter then it did. I even spit up my water this morning. I think I drank it wee bit fast but not any different then any other morning. My coffee being hot went down ok after that. I have since tried chicken noodle soup broth and its not going well! I would appreicate any suggestions I can get, my last resort is going to see DR R because its hard to get off work at this time.. too many field trips and short on drivers. I have to take 2 days to make the trip because its 3.5 hrs there and 3.5 back. I haven't vomited but its not going past the band...I believe its too much mucous in the pouch how can I get rid of it?Thanks in advance.

I am going to guess that due to some swelling from the asmtha attack you might be a little tight for a short while and it might take a few days for it to go down. Give LWB a call and in the least you should be able to talk to Barb or Linda and see what they say. You might just need a med to counter the swelling and to continue liquids for a few more days. I am sure that there have been other patients with asmtha that have had a similar situation. What about the doctor that treats your asmtha? Would you be able to call and get a different inhaler or med? Christine ps all those big box stores like Menards, Lowes, Home Depot have stacks of wood inside. The days of the old fashioned lumber yards are a thing of the past of the wood being stored outside and even those stores had millwork inside.

Wow Karen - I'm sorry to hear about your asthma attack.  I don't have any suggestions but do want you to know I'm thinking about you. HUGS, Christina
