Thursday Roll Call
Hi everybody!
I am working today as usual.
Todd and the neighbors took advantage of the great weather yesterday and had a fire in the back yard. I sat out with them for a bit, but my bed time comes early as 4 am is also very early. I have slacked the last couple of day and stayed in bed the extra hour, but today, I got up and rode the stationary bike. It is funny how much better I feel when I take the time to exercise!
Tonight, the boys have Scouts and I think I will start getting ready for my trip next week.
Other than that, not too much on my plate today. How about you????
Have a stupendous day!
Good morning all! I'm in a better mood today. I haf dinner with our national sales manager last night and it was very nice. It's so boring when I travel for work so the company was much appreciated. Also, tomorrow I'll be back home so that makes me happy. And then Saturday I'll meet so many of you face to face! Yesterday, I got to visit the Pike Street Market here in Seattle. That's where they throw the fish. It was incredible. So many fresh and natural fruits and veggies, And lots of crafty things. There is a shop that makes cheese and you can watch it! I had a grilled chees sandwitch that was the best. I'm glad I won't be here after my banding! I'd bust the poor thing!!! Although, with the exception of my peanut frenzy the other night, I've been pretty good at what I eat and my portio9n control. I sure look forward to having the band to help! Have a great day.

Glad to see that today is a better day for you. I wish I had thought to tell you about Pike Street Market.......They have really good tea there. I ordered some online and although it was expensive at $6.00 per box, that part was OK. When they shipped it, they added $ 3.00 PER BOX for shipping! SO I now have some VERY Expensive tea. It also is has caffeine, so I will be using it even more sparingly. I am hoping that they have the cinnamon-orange in a decaffeinated version for the next time I order. Sorry I didn't think to tell you about it before you went there. (Of course, I don't know if you even like tea.......) Travel safely home and see you Saturday!
I've never been to the Pike Street Market myself.
This tea was recommended to me by a friend along with the online address for ordering.
It IS really good tea.....a lot of cinnamon flavor and just the right amount of sweetness----NO SUGAR ADDED! I don't know how they do it, but it is just really good.
Like I said though, after I received it, I realized that it is NOT decaffienated, and boy, did I feel it after a year and a half without caffiene! I guess it will just have to be an occasional treat.
I love Pike Market. Dave and I were in Seattle before we went on our cruise to Hawaii for our 30th anniversary in '04 and we went there. You are so right there are so many eaterys that you can go to or just buy a sack of fruit or goodies here and there. Wi**** were in the Chgo area.

Coffee is not on my list. : (. Althuogh, it's on my post op 'ok' list.. so I think I can survive a few weeks. My surgeon defines clear liquids as anything you can see thru and gives a very specific list of what he means. He also says "Avoid Sugar, carbonated beverages, eat no chicken nuggest, hamburgers or mashed potatoes" - which makes me laugh b/c even my convuluded self can't make the connection between clear liquids and chicken nuggets!
I'll be ok. I'm just battling the head hunger thing and habit - like reaching for food/snack out of boredom/habit, etc. This is all for a good cause. I know this - I'm just hungry!

Good Morning Dawn and the rest of Illinois.
Today is Thursday, and I am at work, like every Thursday. The bad thing this week is that I have to work tomorrow also. I very sedom work on Fridays, but I need to go to our main office in Rock Falls for some additional training tomorrow. So----- that means that everything I need to do on Friday, will have to get done tonight or Sat. And be at Lucy's on time.
Dawn, i know how you mean about not getting some exercise. I like getting on the gazell for at leat 30 min a day, even if its not until after dinner.
Paul, I am glad you are in a better mood and that you will be getting back tomorrow.
Monica and Janet K, I hope you are both feeling better today.
for all the newbies, welcome to our board. Come in and post, let us get to know you.
