Desperate for water help
hello everyone. I am desperate for any and all help I can get on how to get more water in since I have been home. I am only getting in maybe 8 oz if I am lucky the last day! What can I do to make sure that I am drinking enough. I DO NOT want to end up back in the hospital. I am sipping through out the day, but obviously not enough....
HELP!!!!
I can only recommend that you keep a water bottle with you at all times. If the little medicine cup works for you, use it, but I just had (and always still have) a bottle with me.
Every time I turn my head, it is there and I take a sip.
If you are watching TV, take a sip at the beginning of each commercial, then again as the commercial ends. Then another for the next commercial.....etc.
You could also use an egg timer. Every time it runs out, take a sip and turn it back over.
Once you get in the groove, it will be easier, but you are right........NO MORE HOSPITAL!
Luv ya,
Dawn

Good morning Monica, I have 1 maybe 2 24oz, water bottles with me at all times. My family thinks I am nuts, and maybe I am. But we need to drink at least 60 ozs a day. Crystal Light is my choice of what to drink, and I go throgh at least 2 boxes a week.
Monica, I was going to offer the info that Dawn did, but that being done already. Here is my take on it. You just have to concentrate on drinking, drinking, drinking, drinking, drinking, drinking, drinking - have I said enough. I found that it seemed like I was always concentrating on drinking either with water or the liquid protein I was to get in, It became a chore even when I was not taking a nap. It is just something you have to do. You might be getting a lot more in than you think. Try putting aside several bottles of water in the fridge or on the counter (I could not tolerate cold liquids for a long time) and make it a challenge to get them in. Maybe you want to enlist your boys to help and "nag" you to make sure you drink.
That is about all I have to offer.
