I am new here!
Hello! my name is karey and i am new to this board. i just found out about it recently. i am so excited that i was able to get a surgery date today! my surgery date is 5/13/08 for lap band. i live in tinley park, il (about 30 min from downtown chicago) and my surgery will be by dr. joyce at silver cross hospital in joliet. i am beyond giddy! any pointers i need to know/
Welcome to the IL Board Karey and congrats on your surgery date, We are having a party this Sat. I think it is close to where you live, you are welcome to come too, and meet everyone, look for the post about it, and let Lucy know if you want to come, as she is the host.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

The best pointer I can give you is to start exeercising now, before surgery, even if it is just walking. This will help your body be healthier for surgery and it will start to become a habit that you will need for the rest of your life.
