I did it!! I got my approval for a VSG and a surgery date. I am due to get sleeved on the 29th. I am as excited as I am nervous. Any suggestions that could help me with preparation. I know what to drink and stuff, but what about stuff forthe hospital. What things did everyone find they just couldn't do without? I can't believe it's really happening, I don't think I've soaked it all in yet. Keep me in your prayers. Kelley

CONGRATULATIONS KELLY!!! Your day will be here before you know it. My recommendations for hospital are lip balm and a pillow for the ride home to hold against your abdomen to cusion any bumps or coughs.  Don't over-pack as they will have just about everything that you need. Good luck!

Tell someone that you love them!

Congrats on you approval, you day will be here before you know it,, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers,

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Congrats on your approval!!!! I am just starting the process,  but I do have a family member who had RNY and she said she had an elastic type band that really helped to hold things"in" and she wished she would have known about that right after her surgery, so maybe you can get or ask your dr about a "binder".
