that sounds great Lucy, I am happy for you to have a possible solution to this problem!!!!! I know it has been weighing heavy on your mind and keeping you feeling so down. It is good that he can do it with your gall bladder and get it over with. May is so soon too. Hi Lucy - I wish you the very best. I had never heard of going from gastric bypass to lap band. I've heard many go from lap band to gastric. I hope you don't mind me asking.. did your pouch streach over time? I'm just curious about the long term effect. I've noticed that my appetite has really increased in the past six months and it does concern me. I have not gained but I have not lost either. I still want to lose about 35 more lbs but it's not looking very promising. HUGS, Christina

Hi Christina. Yup, my pouch did stretch but it was because of me. I started to eat more at meal time. At first, it's uncomfortable but over time, it stretches and then I ate more.... that's in addition to grazing. I told Dr. Guske that I can eat a lot more at mealtime, just about as much as I did pre-op. I'll still have the gastric bypass there plus the lap band. The lap band will give me the restriction I need to feel full without eating so much. He felt that trying to make the pouch smaller and/or stoma wouldn't be successful over time. It would stretch out again and I'd start eating more and gain. I've gained quite a bit and feel so ashamed but now I feel like I have a second chance. Hugs, Lucy

Hey Lucy.. Hugs to you. Thanks for the reply. I was curious because I do know I can eat a whole lot more then I once could and it scares me. I wish you all the luck.. It sounds like a good plan for you. Christina

Thanks Christina. I'm trying to get through the paperwork, etc... Now I found out that I have to see the pulmonologist again since they will be visiting me in the hospital afterwards. I got an appointment for Friday. So I can't schedule the case until I get his clearance. Yuk. Hopefully, I'll get it next week. I definitely need this. Lucy
