FRIDAY ROLL CALL
Good Morning Illinois!!!! We made it. If we get trough today, it's the weekend. I am ready for that. This has been one of those weeks that could drive me to drink. One good thing that happened was a visit to my General Practioner. He took me of Vytorin and when I asked what he was going to replace it with, he said he wasn't even going to worry about that since my lap band surgery is in less than a month. He too, believes that it will be the long term solution to my diabetes related problems. He is 100% behind me and even congradulated me on standing up to that surgeons office that wanted to charge me $325 for a 10 minute visit. I'm really glad to have this doctor and look forward to his support after the surgery. We will meet the week after and he will check out my post-op incisions and everything else. Unfortunately, he won't beable to help with fills, but I think I've found a decent place for that. I will be traveling for work the next 2 weeks, but I'll have my laptop and I'll try and check in as much as I can. Have a great weekend! Paul

Good morning Paul and the rest of IL, I am up early and moving good today, Looks like the sun is tring to shine here, hope it shines for everyone else too, it just makes me feel so much better when the sun is out .
Paul your surgery is coming up fast before long you will be a loser too, it is such a great ride,

Yesterday was my DH's birthday so we are going out with some friend tonight for dinner , to celebrate,
Not much going on here today but cleaning, Yesterday the tree men came back and got the stump out and now no more tree, I feel so much better now that it is down, this last winter we lost alot of limbs as the tree was dieing more every day and very unsafe, Every one have a great day,
Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!

Paul, a good doctor is the best thing that you can have in your corner. I am glad to hear that you have that covered.
I am working today, but Hooray!.......It's Friday! I am really looking forward to the weekend, even though we do not have any big plans. I hear the weather is supposed to be great, so a fire is probably in order for Saturday night. I think we are ALL ready for the weather to be better!
Not too much else at the moment except for my worry about Monica.

5 days to go! Woohoo! It is almost here!
I don't know how much longer I can take these protein shakes. I must admit I really haven't been hungry so that makes them bearable.
Ava and Vince came to visit for a little while yesterday and my daughter called from the car to ask if they could come in with their lunch or should they eat in the car? I just laughed and said, come in. I just finished having a shake. How silly of her, but I'm glad that she realizes it is not easy when your smelling food and can't eat it. She says after she has the baby she is going to try my pre-op diet.
I don't have much planned for the week-end. Hope you all have a good week-end.

Good Morning Everyone.
I am getting a late start today, because I needed to go to Walmart and DH wanted to go to Menards.
Actually, he dropped me off at the Walmart in Ottawa, then he went to the Menards in Peru. It gave me about 1 1/2 hours to look and buy. Wanted to look for a couple of new tops, since I know most of mine will be way to big, but no luck. Did get some fabric to make another rag rug. I think
I must have about 30 different ones now. I also want to do a quilted bag for myself for the summer.
I did pick up some bargins (?) I am always looking for purses, but hate the prices. A couple of weeks ago, I found one at Little Travler, but rather expensive. So, I didn't get it. Today, I found 2 on sale for $3 apeice, one in goldtone, and one in bronzetone. Me happy.
Paul you are less then a month away, Carol is less then a week, and Nancy G, in Peru, Il, is Monday at Harvard. Best of luck to all of you.
