Good Morning IL~   I am off to my 1 almost 2 week appt w/ Dr. Wallace.  Kind of excited about it, except I gained a pound this week.  Not doing much else.  I will go see my dad today after the doctor.  We have been having such a hard time w/ Maddie lately.  Not to metion that the new puppy is not doing so good house training.  If anyone has any suggestions how to house train little puppies, please let me know.  I am very anal about my house, so every time it pee's or poo's in the house, I get very frusterated.  I know it's only a puppy, but I'm hoping it won't take much longer.  Enjoy the sun today!

Good Night Erin & Paula! Hello Illinois! I am just working today.  My car is fixed, but I am driving my Aunt's car so that I can drop it off to her this evening.  I am looking forward to having my car back.  It is funny how you get attached to things like that, but my car is just that, MY CAR.  It is comfortable for ME.  My hugely tall "boys" are way too big for my car, but it is "just right" for me. I have to agree, it DOES seem like the kids are out of school more than in, and I am pretty sure that they get WAY more time off than we did.  I don't really think it makes us old to think that (does it?) Not much else exciting going on in my neck of the woods......the sun is out, so that makes things feel better, but I too am looking forward to some warmth.  I still have 3 layers on! Everyone have a spectacular day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hi Everybody in Illinois, I also work nights and have to definetely agree that my kids are always out of school for something ! It really makes night shift hard and summer will be here soon and then sleep is really just a dream ! Kim the best thing I know for training a puppy is to crate them unless you are able to watch them VERY closely. And take them out as soon as they eat or drink and as soon as you take them out of the crate. Its not an easy task but once a dog is trained right, they are so worth all of the frustrations. Very soon, my paperwork will be submitted to insurance and my eating habits have really been not so great since Easter. I have to go get weighed tomorrow and I am really nervous. What if I have gained ? Will they still submit my stuff to insurance ? Should I just reschedule my appt. ? Hope everyone has a great day !

Hi All of Illinois....Saying good night to the night shift workers and good afternoon to day shifts.  Its the beautiful sunny day out today makes you feel so good.  I am doing ok today..alot of laundry.  then off to see my counselor.  I recieved my first card today from my secret pal.  How uplifting and inspiring it was.  I put it on my table next to me so I can pick it up and reread it.  Hope everyone is good well.  You are all in my thougths and prayers.
Blessings,  Marilyn M.  Jesus Fish

Hi Illinois!

Seems like a typical Wednesday today except the SUN is SHINING!! Hope springs eternal! I have a busy teaching day today, but will be in Hoffman Estates the rest of the week at a conference. Then things will be fairly calm until Lucy's party, then the "busyness"  starts again. Door County at the end of April and Indianapolis at the end of May, Madison in mid June and Prague to Budapest in July. Can you tell I love to travel? Most of these trips are for play except the one to Indy.

Got stuck at lunch today--roast pork is not my thing. Fortunately we have a huge bathroom at work where I can walk around and wave my arms in the air without anyone seeing me and the food went on through. It really only lasted 5 minutes, but in that time, you wonder how long it will last! Maybe I'll get to eat my banana for a snack later.

The scale is moving in the right direction only very slowly. I did try on some summer blazers and they went on. It looks like they might not even last the whole summer! So sad! Well I have some things still in the closet in the basement that would need a shoehorn to go on now, so I still have a "stash".

Have a good day everyone!

Good afternoon to everyone. I am just getting on now as I have had connectivity problems today. I could not get on this morning at 445am because of local area network problems and my router went kaput! Yeah- yeah I know I am on vacation and was supposed to sleep in, it does not happen with me as I have always been an early bird and sleeping in for me is 630am.  We had been told that our router was due for replacement 6 months ago - well it happened. I just happened to have a spare in the house. So - we have our boarding passes printed out and we are ready to leave right away. Well, I guess we need to wait for the limo to get here at 5am, Thursday to do that. I am packed and ready to go and that is the good news.  Yesterday evening we went and spoke to a group of pre ops at a LWB seminar. It was a fantastic turnout. Dr Rosen's presentation in my opinion was the best he has ever done. He had a bunch of updated slides regarding newer statistics regarding WLS. Man, I need to go to these seminars to be educated in how to coach people regarding WLS. Dr JR's presentation is far superior to Dave's surgeon's group collectively regarding the info that the common person absorbs.  Hey everyone the grass is getting greener! I had Dave go out earlier to get some grass seed to put down in case there is rain while we are gone and also because the ground is wet right now. I was waiting for the internet provider to call otherwise I would have gone with him. And they did just as the garage door went down when he backed out. Take care all. I might not be back on until I come home late Monday evening. I am not taking a PC with me. I will just ask our hosts to go on to print out return flight itineraries. BUT - who knows I might post Thursday's Roll Call. Christine  &

hey everyone!  I know I have been quiet lately, but not much to report.  Until today that is.  I took my daughter over to her mother's place this morning then bumbed around for a while.  Had a lunch date with a couple of friends.  I bought some cloths for summer now that all my other summer cloths are WAY too big.  I then went to the mall to grab a magazine, and cut through JC Pennys and saw a nice spring jacket.  It was on sale, so I went over and grabbed one and tried it on.  It fit!  I was thinking this jacket looks good on me, so I might as well buy it, since my current one is way WAY too big ( yeah that weight loss issue again :)  )  When I took the jacket off I checked the size.  It was a Large!  There was no X anywhere on it!  JUST A LARGE!!!!  I checked the sleeves to make sure the X didn't fall off anywhere, and it was just a Large!  I am out of the X's!!!!!!!!  YAY!!!  Now that is one that really brightens your day when it happens to ya.  For those of you just starting, see what you get to look forward to :)  crawling around a store floor looking for the X and not finding it :)  Oh happy day for me!

I'm jealous in a way!  I have a closet full of XL's that don't fit anymore.  Of course my reason is that I'm in XXL's for now.  But May 3rd is coming and I'll be chasing you around the floor looking for all those missing X's!!!  I met with my regular Doc today and he is 100% behind me on the lap band.  I've scheduled my next appointment for a week after the surgery.  AND my doctor said not to bother refilling some of my med's because he is sure I won't need them after the surgery.  Anyway, Barry you are an inspiration!  Keep showing me the way!!  Thanks, Paul

Today was a wild day, went to walmart to buy a scale because the one here said i have lost 10 lbs since coming home from surgery, started out buying my daughter one of those huge bouncy balls for $2.50, and ended up buying a nintendo Wii an extra game and a controller totalling $500. Ended up forgetting the batteries for my scale, so i dont know what the deal is with my weight. Is anyone else anemic? I found out that I was the day before my surgery and it has been an issue for me in the past. I dont tolerate iron supplements well. I have also found that i am extremely tired since surgery, i got some slow release iron that is supposed to help with the side effects. Does anyone else have any other suggestions chewable, or liquid brands that arent as bad going down as they are when they get down? My husband has been making me drink broccoli juice he makes me in the juicer, and its awful.
