Tuesday Roll Call

Well, good morning girls and boys of Lincoln Log Land. It is almost hump day, just hang in there and it will be here in less than 24 hours. Not much going on with me today other than I think I will drive to work today because I am getting low on water bottle cases under my desk and I need to take some in. I also want to make a fast get away after work and go visit Monica and get home before the traffic gets too bad. Just got some news from my family via  (e-mail) that RML Specialty Hospital released Jim and that he is going back to ABMC in EGV today. It is a long story, but it sounds like this place in Hinsdale is hoeky.  On the other good news front Dave heard via the grapevine that he is going to be offered a man. rep job with the company that flew him to TX a while back. Answers to prayers all the way around! Need to get ready for work myself right now. Take care you all.   & Christine

Good Morning Christine and the rest of Illinois, Please be careful driving today. The wind is terrific! We have 38/40 mph winds out here, and I know the Chicago area is getting them too. I will have 20 miles of open road to drive this morning to work, and I hate it when it is bad.  DH told me last night that he is taking me to see Jersy Boys for my birthday in April. Not sure what date, but we are going to spend the weekend in St. Louis, so I can also see my best friends from school. I have known one from 5th grade, and the other from seventh. I am so looking forward to it, since I haven't been "home" in over 2 years.  Today will be busy at work, as most Tuesdays are. It does seem that the weeks are going by  faster, Christine, sounds like you and Dave are finally getting some good news.  Hugs LISA

Lisa, not to worry - the drive to the hospital is all city driving if I wish. I could go I-290/53 to the tollway but it is really busy traffic at that time of day. I will go the city route. CB

Where did you go to high school? (Typical St. Louis question!) I went to Kirkwood High. My family has been there since 1840. I'm the renegade who doesn't live there!

Good morning all!  On Sunday, I was at a friend's house for the holiday, and his 18 year old daughter was watching a video from the day she was christened.  We were all sitting around having cake and coffee and there I was almost 60 pounds lighter and with hair!  It reminded me of how I look under all this body.  I don't mind the loss of hair, but I sure am looking forward to seeing that body again!  Congrats on the Jersey Boys tickets, Lisa.  St. Louis is a great town. Morning everyone,      well not much for me today.  Still playing Mr. Mom here.  Boy this whole situation is really taking a long time.  Oh well, I will just do what I need to do and things will work out (hopefully in my favor).  I have some errands to run, but besides that not much going on with me.  Ah the life of a single dad.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning my IL friends, I could mot sleep last night.  I finally dozed around 5:30 am.  Thene I just woke up in such pain!!!I I'm taking my pain medicine now w/ some water.  I was going to go see my dad today w/ Ryan and Maddie.  But since I'm not up to snuff, I might hold off abother day.  I feel so guilty because Maddie is on spring break and we haven't done anything.  I was thinking about going to the jelly belly factory w/ her sometime this week.  Some walking would not hurt and I hate jelly bellys so the temptation won't be there.  Do any one know how to add the ticker at ther bottom of your page.  I thought it would work, but it didn't.  I made a ticker and then I ighted it and right clicked to copy it and then I went to user setting and went to my sign block and pasted it and it appeared.  I clicked on enable sign and saved it and it won't come up????  HUmmmmm Tonight the easter bunny comes to our house since Maddie was gone during Easter.  That should be fun!!  I hope everyone is doing good and I still have Monica on my mind. Good Morning Christine and the rest of Illinois! Good news on the job front for Dave, I still have my fingers crossed.  I hope the move is good for your brother.

I just tried to call Monica and got no answer.  That is not unusual.  I remembered that I think I unplugged the phone when I was in the hospital.  It was NOT located in a convenient place, so we just unplugged it the first day.  She may also be out of the room on a walk.

I will be taking my Aunt to the craft store this evening after dinner as she needs some paint supplies.  She is a very good artist, and I am hoping that she will do some painting to fill up her time.  She paints wonderful pictures of houses, and many of us in Rock City are lucky enough to have her depictions of our homes on our walls.  When they lived with us, she painted portraits of our home and those of some of my neighbors.  She was very bored then also.  If anyone needs/wants a portrait of your house done, I can hook you up with her.  Her paintings sell very reasonably.  She paints other things besides houses, but that seems to be her specialty.  I have lots of "Dixies" at home. I forgot to tell you all..........remember how David was having a party with his friends last Friday night?  Well.......6 GIRLS came over!!!!  His 2 buddies from accross the back yard came too, but it was ALL GIRLS!!!!  I was very surprised.  His dad thinks he's a "stud", I was not sure WHAT to think.  They had a nice time, basically just sat around talking and listening to music and eating snacks.  A couple of them were very nice too.   That's about it for me at the moment........if I hear any more about Monica, I will be sure to let you all know.
