Monday Morning Roll Call

Good Morning my wonderful IL family!

Well today is MY day!  I am SO excited, though I do have a rock in the pit of my stomach...it's got nothing to do with surgery.  I just got home from dropping off my 14 yr old baby to leave for DC.  I always get emotional when they go somewhere like this.  His chaperone told me to have Mike call her when I am out of surgery and she will let Tyler know.  I thought that was very nice.

Mike  has Dawn's number at work so he can give her a call and update on me.  She will let you all know.  Thanks for being my angel Dawn!

I have to go and take a shower and get ready now.
Love to all of you and thank you for the wonderful pre op support you all gave me. Now onto the post op stuff!  LOL

Have a wonderful day all!

Monica

Monica and the rest of IL good morning. Monica, looking forward to seeing you on the other side. You are in great hands with Dr Pete.  Well, I am well rested after a full day yesterday. Just going to be getting my breakfast ready here in a few minutes and then get ready for work. I have a full week ahead of my so I guess that I will leave a little early and get in and tackle what needs to be done. Have a great day. I will be checking in a couple of times to look for Monica's progress reports. Christine  &

Good Morning Monica and the rest of Illinois! Angel reporting for duty!  I am praying and thinking of you almost every minute.  I am looking forward to the call that says everything went well and you are resting. I am also wishing Tyler a safe and fun trip.  DC is a really great place that everyone should visit at least once.  Not too much else going on with me today.  Luckily, the kids are on Spring Break because Liv has (at the least) a cold.  I also feel like I am getting a cold.  I sure hope both of us do not have a go around with that flu.  For me, it would be twice, and NO ONE can be THAT unlucky.....  I told her to rest and relax in addition to drinking lots and lots of fluids. I'll be back later.........

Tell someone that you love them!

Good morning all! First, Good luck to you Monica!  My prayers are with you.  I understand about sending your baby off.  This morning I had to leave very early to drop my 16 month old daughter at my mother's house for the next two nights.  Our daycare provider is on vacation so my mother will watch Meredith through Wednesday.  This will be the first time since her birth that she will be away from us.  As nice as it will be to have alone time with my wife, we will both miss her.  Liz (my wife) thinks it will be good practice for May, when we travel for my lap band surgery.  Although, when that happens, mom will stay at our house.  My seven year old stepson, Nic, is at his dad's for the week so the house is going to be very different for a few days. This weekend was filled with too much food!  We went up to the Madison area for a little get away and ended up having very rich breakfasts at the B&B and then a huge steak dinner on Saturday night.  I was proud of the fact that I actually stopped eating with about a third of my steak still on my plate.  I've almost never done that before.  Last night my best friend invited us over for Easter dinner and we ate really good Assarian food (a bunch of rice stuff).  And I felt very heavy throughout the overnight.  I was up every few hours with massive heartburn.  I really wish I had more self control, but I guess that is part of the reason for the surgery next month.  On the positive front, my blood sugar levels are starting to drop a little.  Yesterday afternoon I was at 105!  Even though it is being brought down by medication, at least my energy is coming back. Have a great Monday, Paul

Good Morning Illinois Yesterday was a good day. Anytime that everything stays down is good. We had brunch/dinner at Starved Rock State Park. The lodge there was build in the 1930s. We went to the buffet, where they honored the WLS card, and only charged me for a childs portion. I had a small portion of whatever I wanted, and I still didn't go over the cup portion size. Now this morning, its another matter. The eggs that liked me yesterday, decided that was enough of that, and came back to haunt me after I tryed  them today. No plans for this week. Just work. Monica, you are in my thoughts for today.  Everyone have a great Monday. Hugs Lisa

Good morning all.  Best wishes to Monica.  I'm on my way to bed shortly here.  I worked all weekend and have to go back tonight.  This weekend wasn't so bad.  I did lose one patient though last night.  He was very sick and the family felt it was a blessing that he had passed on to the otherside on Easter. Notice my new Avatar.  Me 74 pounds lighter than in the last picture.  Yea. On another positive note, Meeting with a new possible love interest this Saturday.  Having been talking for the last couple of weeks and decided it is time for a face to face.  He lives in the next town over and actually knows my Mother.  So yes I have someone that will vouche for him.  So we'll see where things go.  Believe me things are going to go slow. Well having a hard time seeing the screen any more.  I'm gonna go hit the sack. Wishing all of you a wonderful day. Shell

Well, I was up and moving at 5:00 am this morning.  I grabed all my gear and headed off to work out in the gym here at work.  I got 50 minutes on the treadmill, it is my goal to work out everyday this week. Easter was a quiet one for us, nothing special.  My son never got into the basket and candy thing, so that is nice.  I got some groceries, laundy and homework done over the week end. Monica, today is the big day!!! we have a spot on the bench for you.
