Happy Easter all you fine people in Illinois! What have you all have planned for today?  I'm sure a bunch of you are going to be running, or cooking, or all of the above! My Easter Sunday sounds like it's going to be a family feud!  I just hate when family and friends can't get along!  But I have kept too silent too long and it's time to take the bullying by the tail!  Controlling people can't control unless you let them!  My daughters' dads side of the family wishes to take my grandson all day.......nope not this time!  So I hope to deal with this with some class......Help me Lord!!!   This is my youngest daughters family not my oldest.....and it's the oldest daughters son that we are having trouble with!   Yikes!!!! Thanks for letting me share.....vent!   Monica......tomorrow is the day!   You should be so excited!!!   New life right around that corner!  And Kim, you will get better and stronger each day!  Congradulations Martha......size 6.........that is great especially since you're only 4 1/2 months post-op!   I know you're going to kill me for bragging on ya....but too bad.....you have done so well!  Well anyways.......(got the gift of gab tonight)  all of you have a good Easter!!!!! Pam

"Hoppy"  Easter to Pam and the rest of the Illinois "Peeps"!!! Speaking of Peeps - I do not miss them; never really liked marshmallow, but they are cute to look at and they have so many more colors now then years ago. I remember when you could buy little chickies as an Easter gift to your kids. I am happy that they banned that; too many abused chickens and I would rather eat the meat or the eggs    We are going down to visit Jim at the rehab hospital in Hinsdale early before we go out for Easter Sunday dinner. We are going locally before it gets real busy then home for us to lounge around. I will probably do a couple things in the afternoon in the house because Mary is coming up this next weekend.  Christine  &

Happy Easter folks! We are going to breakfast at Egg Harbor Cafe and then I plan to knit today. I organized my yarn by colors yesterday and have a pattern for a multi-yarn jacket which I plan to start. I also have a number of scarves which need finishing touches. I need to start selling these again. They are running  me out of house and home!

For those of you looking  forward to families--have fun! For those of you looking with apprehension--be strong! Don't let them get to you! If you want to fly with eagles, don't hang around with turkeys!

Happy Easter everyone! I am pretty good today and don't have a whole lot planned. I'm going to do an easter egg hung with my daughter and a few of her friends around 3pm. Then after that I am going to start packing for Chicago tomorrow. I can't believe my surgery is in 2 days!

I am getting so scared! I feel like I might back out. I'm so terrified, I have to keep reminding myself this is for the best and the risk I'm taking is no more than the risk of being overweight. And as so many of you have said...When its your time its your time, It don't matter if your on the OR table or driving down the road. So I am going to leave my fate up to God and hope for the best.

Getting scared at this point is normal. Please do not back out as it is well worth it all in the end. You have a great attitude regarding putting it in God's hands because when it comes down to it that is what it is all about. We as people can manipulate some of the things that go on in our lives but when it all boils down to the facts - it was "our" will what happened and not God's will, He just let it happen.  ONE BIG THING THAT I CAN RECOMMEND IS TO TAKE YOUR PAIN MEDS WHEN SCHEDULED. Do not be a hero and go longer because it just takes longer to feel better. I have learned that through many surgeries pre and PO RNY/PS. Christine

Happy Easter!!! I know I have been MIA the past week or so... I got strep throat on Friday the 14th and had a horrible cold to go with it...  I was miserable! I am feeling much better... I still have a bad cough, but feel so much better! I have been lurking a bit, I was just so achkey and tired! We are getting ready for church and then going to my mom's for dinner... The kids are still running around here looking for their eggs... Too funny we put 1 in their coat pocket so they will find their last one as we are leaving! I hope you all enjoy your Sunday! Kim, glad you are home recovering! Monica, Have fun today in the !!! I will be keeping you in prayer tomorrow... Jackie, Tuesday is your day! WooHoo! Blessings to you all! Love Jenn

Morning my Illinois Ladies,      I know I have been quiet lately but not much has been going on.  Today I am going to church with my folks and my daughter to Willow Creek then back to see what the Easter Bunny brought her.  It is weird doing all of this alone this year, but I have to so my daughter is happy.  For me that is the ultimate award.      We then have brunch at 2.  After that I am not sure what else we will do, but I know that I need to reformat my hard drive again.  I know it is so exciting.  I will probably buy a new hard drive to do that.  I saw some extremely large hard drives available for that.  I know tech geek stuff, but hey I am a tech geek, so it will be kinda interesting :)      Have a good Easter everyone.  Be safe and for one day let's all forget our diets and just enjoy the company we will all be with.  Tomorrow we can start again!        Oh yeah, welcome to the losers bench Kim!  The gas goes away fast.  just remember that they had to inflate your stomach area to do the surgery.  You need to expel the gas somehow.  I know I am a guy but kept giggling everytime I let one go.  I know it is a guy thing I think.      Jacie, you are almost on the losers bench.  Don't worry, you will be with us in just 2 days!

Barry, are you at the 9am or 1130am service today? You will really enjoy the service. Dave and I were there yesterday at the first service. We were there on Thursday and went in to see some of the rehearsal because we are part of the production team and saw some of the techy things that they were doing. If you are into the techy things we can give you a behind the scenes tour. It was a fantastic message given by Bill one of the best Easter messages that I think he has every given. Chris ps we are watching the service live on the web again right now via a link that we have as a production volunteer.

Hi Everyone! Happy Easter to all who celebrate it...I will be heading out for church...then pretty much a day spent doing chores since I go back to work tonight. (yuck!)   I so enjoy when I have 3-day weekends....they only come around every six weeks or so due to our rotating schedule. Have a great day!
