Saturday Roll Call

Good Morning Illinois. Don't forget to dye those Easter eggs this morning. Your little ones would love to get their hands into it. We did ours yesterday. GD loved how dark mine were and asked how to do it. I told her  to put the eggs in the dye and leave them there for s few minuts. I think she was amazed that Grandma knew something.  This morning I am hoping to go to Yorkvill to my daughters to hang out. Not sure since GD was sick during the night. I will decide when she gets up. No other plans for today. Did anyone hear from Kim yet? Monica, you only have a few more days Has everyone dug out from the snow yesterday? We got nothing. Not even a rain drop. It wasn't warm, but it was dry ,           Hugs, Lisa

GM Lisa and IL, we are off to O'hare this mirning to get me mom , sure home the roads are good.  I don't know if I will get to get on here much this week, if not hope everyone has a great Easter, Kim, Hope you are doing good, Monica, wishing you well on your surgery coming up soon, Amanda, has a one year Surgery Annversery coming up the end of the month. The state roads should be fine. My village street in front of my house is wide open but my town spends a lot of money on cleaning the roads during the winter so I cannot vouch for another town's streets. The I-290 yesterday was wide open and wet - the other expressways should be fine. Christine

Good morning Lisa and all the rest of our Lincoln Land peeps. I remember the egg dye thing. My mom would buy the Paaz oil kind of dye. I do not think you can buy it anymore. It is different than the one that you just put the egg down into the cups with all the different colors. The one we used would make the eggs all swirly colored. We did not dig out last night. The snow was starting to get a little crusty last night so it might be a little tough to snow blow out. Should have done it yesterday. We walked to the train station and took the train to Bartlett for dinner then got back on a couple hours later. The neat thing about Bartlett is that there are several rests. with in walking distance of the train station. Plus it is just a little over a 1/2 mile one way to our station. I usually remember to bring old grocery sacks in my purse to take the left overs home with us. Today I will give my bedroom a good vacuum under the bed because we want to replace the springs and mattress this next week. Should only take me about 2 hours because I have all the storage boxes out from under already. I will need to do most of the vacuuming laying down on the floor because we do not want to move a king size bed ourselves. We will let the delivery guys do that.  I just need to get the dust bunnies cleaned up beforehand. This afternoon we will go to the first service at Willow for Easter at 2:30. That is when it starts but we need to be there at least one hour before to get a seat. Christine  &

Good morning all.  Didn't get to the gym yesterday.  The winter storm wa****ting us pretty good by then.  Work even called and asked me to come.  I said I had already gotten caught in the storm once and was not about to drive in it if I didn't have to.  My daughter and I had been in Wally World when the storm rolled in.  Had to drive home in near white out conditions.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Good morning Lisa and Illinois! It is a wet and dreary morning out there today. I will visit with my mother today and run a few small errands. Hope everyone is well and not too snowed in.  Looking forward to seeing 2 of the granchildren tomorrow. I'll have to call the other 2 to wish them Happy Easter.  Next week will be busy for me, so I will check in as often as I can. I hope everyone has a very Blessed Easter. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

It's a beautiful day in Rockford. The goldfinches are on the feeders and they are getting yellower every day! Now if the snow would melt so we could see the grass, it'd just be great!

Went to Cannoli Cafe for breakfast today. Otherwise no plans for the rest of the weekend. I hope you all have a  nice weekend with your families!

Good Morning Everyone, Today we are busy, busy, busy!   Have to clean house, finish up easter baskets and make a double batch of Au gratin potatoes.  We are going to my sisters tommorrow and I have to work a 12 hour shift tonight. That leaves Tim in charge of being the bunny tonight.   The kids baskets are made but he will have to hide the eggs after they go to sleep and put the baskets out.    I have to make another lamb cake (the lamb met a very mean demise at the hands of my dog).  I also have to give my bichon a bath and a haircut - she got into the mud out back.    Glad Kim is home safe.   Wishing everyone a very happy holiday.  Gina       

Good Morning IL family!
I slept late this morning and have been helping hubby do some cleaning.  I have to run to the bank and to pick up Tyler's contacts that have finally come in.  Today I will be cleaing and doing homework and just hanging out with Mike. 

Tomorrow I will start my cleansing diet to prepare for Monday!!!  I am SO excited.  We aren't doing anything for Easter anyway since none of the kids will be home until later.  My sister and neice might stop by to keep me company while I "cleanse"  LOL

We did not get any rain or snow yesterday we actually hit 64. It was partly sunny and it was great. I took a walk. I was sorry that the most of ya had to dig out, but hey its good exercise "right"!!!! Ok I know I am not funny, they are still calling for rain or snow down here today through tomorrow. It isn't anything like yesterday today right now its only 34. I am freezing.  Ok Glad Kims surgery was good, sorry to hear she's in all the pain from"gas". It does get better Kim really. Yes I cried when it hit too and I had 3 c-sections and a hysto , I too though what have I done, but take my word for it it gets better and you will like what you've done. Good Luck!!!!! Well I have to go make phone calls so later to all my Illinois friends. Karen
