St. Pat's Roll Call
Happy St. Pat's Illinois-we celebrated yesterday-just Eddie and I- my girls suddenly don't like Corned Beef and don't think it's a big deal anymore, now that Mom is gone. She must be whirling like the Tasmanian devil in her grave! No wonder the ground around it is always cracking-she's trying to get out and whip this family back into shape. Not much to do today-I will be altering clothes this after noon-too big now-yea! Tomorrow we take Eddie for his pre-surgery labs. Saturday we went for our yearly diabetic eye checks and they found a growth in his right eye that will need surgery now also. We see the surgeon the 11th. He can't catch a break. I have been busy getting used to my brace-it is ugly and I am a vain ***** so I am resistant, but compliant w/colorful metaphors filling the air! At least I can wear some of my normal shoes w/it-the prosthetics guy thought he was going to talk me into orthopedic shoes- I quickly amended his attitude. There are some place I just won't go. Have a safe and happy day-Big leprechaun hugs-Janet K
Hi Janet. Happy St. Pat's Day to you too! I'm glad to see you here on the boards too. I know you're going through so much with Eddie's illnesses. You're a strong and vibrant woman and ready to face the challenges. My hat's off to you
. Not much going on in my neighborhood. Still struggling but not as depressed as I was in December. I think my medication is just perfect for me. I'm looking forward to the warm and sunny weather.
Wishing everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Hugs,
Lucy

Well I officially hate myself and those who live in and around my town! I went to walmart on Sat. Night and bought a few things that I needed. Well keep in mind this is my first day without food and we have a screaming 8 month old.i grab the bag my hubby grabs the cart and takes it to the car, puts my son inside i get in and we leave. What did we leave?? My purse. In the cart. Did someone turn it in, NO!
Now children let me tell you what was inside....I only saved for literally a year for this.....
MY IPOD TOUCH! and about $200 worth of makeup. not to mention my debit card, ss cards for me and my kids and my id along with misc stuff like brush and papers.
So I have been crying all morning because I can't believe this happened. I feel so taken advantage of and I feel just....
I can't describe the feeling. I mean, I spent $450 on that Ipod. There is no way we can afford another one. Not to mention all my makeup and now my kids SSN are in jeopardy!
I can't believe this!

I am so sorry that you lost your purse. I know it feels like someone robbed your very soul. Keep calling the store, and asked if anyone went through the trash cans outside. Also stay in touch with the police. Hopefully someone will turn it in. Thankfully, everything can be replaced. Go to SS and order new cards for you and the kids. Make sure you tell them you are going in for surgery, and you need your number for them. That way you can get a copy of your numbers on official letterheads to use until you get the replacement cards. Also call the bank and have them cancel your debit card. Also any credit cards you may of had.
I know I have an mp3 player and I wouldn't want to lose it. Unfortunatly, its probly not covered by insurance.
Good Luck and don't beat yourself up over this. It has happened to all of us at one time or another.
Lisa.
Sweetie, oh I am so sorry that that happened to you. Put you head on straight and remember what was in your purse besides what you mentioned and make sure that you safe guard yourself against ID theft.
There is a bright light at the end of the tunnel and that is your surgery in just a few more days.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We had cabbage last night with a little deli corned beef added because tonight is the Rockford support group which for me is right after work. The weekend flew by and didn't seem long enough. I did find a new magazine called Eating Well which has some great recipes in it for founds we can enjoy. Check it out!
Have a good day folks!

Hello everyone,
Well...Ryan took me to Walmart this morning and now his is down stairs cooking a roast for dinner. I love when he is home and we get to spend time together. We bought all the stuff I will need for after surgery. I have been drinking the pre-surgery shakes. I guess ya get used to them after awhile. I just don't like anything thick and they are pretty thick. O-well. I pick up my sleep equipment today at 2:00. This should be interesting.
What time is the Rockford support meeting? I am planning to go, but need the time. Connie gave me directions last week.
I am sorry that everyone is going through some tough times! Keep your head up and keep chuggen!
