Ladies.... Thank you so much for all your input.  I appreciate everyone chiming in.   Chris -Thanks for all the suggestions of things to do.  Amanda and I have been downtown many times and neither of us seem to be real impressed.  I guess we just are not hitting the right attractions.  Oh well, we'll keep trying. Thanks again everyone. Christina

Hi Christina! I am just getting around to catching up from over the weekend. I have not seen either play, but Wicked gets my vote.  I've read the book and know that my 14 year old son would LOVE to see it. Have you or Amanda seen Blue Man Group?  I HAVE seen that and it was a blast!  I know that my kids would both absolutely LOVE it, but the cost has kept me from taking them.  (I was taken as a birthday gift years ago......) Good luck on whatever you choose!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hi, I guess I am the johnny come late...but I have seen Wicked and it ROCKED.  I think it depends on the age of your step daughter.  While it's an awesome story it does change the way you look at the Wizard of OZ. If they are young do you want to burst that fantasy bubble?  You know her best.  I also agree that blue man group is great for kids.  Not sure about Jersey Boys.  We want to go see it, depends on if she would enjoy the retro music. Hey Chris, thanks for the suggestions on Chicago...you ROCK! I am sure you will have a blast no matter what you do. Take care, Kathy

I saw Wicked last year with my sister. I am a huge Wizard of Oz nut! I loved it. I plan on going again this year. It is appropriate for all ages.  Theresa, Rockford

I have not seen either, but an 8th grade girl on my bus highly recommended "WICKED" to me on the 13th. She had asked what my spring break plans were and I had told her I might take the train up to Chicago for a day. She then said I should go see this great musical called Wicked. I don't know any thing else about it though.
