Friday Roll Call

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois! I am working a full day today.  Since I didn't need an infusion yesterday, I was able to get in a half a day.  After work, Todd is picking up Little Miss Riley and bring her out to Rock City for the whole weekend!  We should have a lot of fun, she is at that "perfect" age. I have to cook corned beef and cabbage for my office for Monday, but I do it overnight so I will have to start it at home on Sunday.  I used to really enjoy the yearly meal, but since I don't eat so much any more, it doesn't really matter to me.  Corned beef can be SO fatty.  Oh well, they will enjoy it, I'm sure.  Then ruebens on Tuesday. I am glad to hear that your brother is still making progress and you guys enjoy your "date". We have quite a few members that will be having surgery before the end of the month, how exciting! Not much else going on at the moment....... Have a lovely and warm day everyone!

Good Morning, Not much happening today, except I don't work today. I will clean house and errands. I have a meeting at 11, but that is all for the day. I think it will be a quiet weekend, so I will make corn beef and cabbage on Sunday. Hopefully it will stay down. It seems like nothing wants to stay down except cream of wheat and cream soups and liquids A year ago I couldn't  imagine that, since everything stayed down and on the hips.  DH is home today too, he has a list he wants to get done also. Good morning my Illinois ladies,      Well not much planned for today, so this will be short.  First let me say, Happy Pi Day!!  3/14 if you remember from math class, the numerical number for π is 3.14.  Yes I am geeky.  Tell everyone happy Pi day and they will look at you weird today!      Well yesterday I was nervous because of my trip to Boston.  I ate bad, but I lost 1.4 pounds!!!  I have 5 pounds away from 100 now!!!  I am almost there! that is it for me.  Talk to you ladies later :) Oh yea, before I go, we have just over a month for the meet up, should we start doing some planning, or am I am excited about it?

Well Happy Pi Day to you too Barry.  I only know about this today because my 11 yr old's school is having a competition on who knows the most numbers of Pi....well my little guy  has been studying his butt off and as of this morning before school knew 92 numbers!!!  He may just win!

I am very excited about our get together as well...I will be a loser by then too!  woohoo

Happy Friday Illinois Group... I am currently at work and checking out at 3:30pm.  I have a class that I am taking tonight from 6-10pm and tomorrow from 8:30-4pm.  I won't be doing much but resting.  Church on Sunday and spending time with the darling family.....  Take Care and Be Blessed.

Hey everyone!  Things are still looking good for surgery next Thursday.  The lung doc called yesterday and said that he wants me to on a continue pap???  I think that's what they said???  Not a  c pap but something else.  I called Bessie at the Kane center to see if this was going to affect my surgery date and she said no!  Plus she said that everything came back normal from the pre op testing at the hospital.  Oh- can someone tell me about the shakes we are supposed to drink 7 days before surgery?  Wendi gave Monica and I some and I can't stomach them.  I get real hot and sweaty when I drink it.  Is there something else I can have or should I just suck it up and drink it?  I think my husband is getting nervouse.  I am sooo excited and not one part of me is scared!  Oh, I did it!  When I signed Maddie up for soccer, I told them that I would coach if they needed people.  That was one of my goals when I lost weight.  I am going achieve this goal before much weight comes off.  The way I thought of it was I didn't wany people to think of me as the fat mom running around w/ the kids...what does she know..she is fat.  Screw them.....Why aren't they coaching or participating in the activities w/ thier kids.  So what if I'm the fat mom coach running around..it's something Maddie will remember forever!!!!!

uh oh, I have to start those imapct drinks on Monday....are they really that bad?  lol
I am so excited for you Kim!!  I can't believe we are both going to be losers pretty soon!

As for the soccer thing, you are right, the important part is that this is something Maddie will always remember and also consider it exercise for you too!  you go girl!

Hi everybody! Dawn- I am curious to here about all the problems you have had further, cause I have only caught bits and pieces here on the forum. I am having vitamin problems already pre-surgically, so any advice you can give would be very helpful.  Kim & Monica- I am SOOO jealous of you both for getting your approvals and surgery dates. I am very happy and wish you girls the best always. I am getting very discouraged over waiting for insurance and stuff. I have done a lot of tests and things aren't coming back the way I hoped. I just feel like crying all the time. Sounds like if I even do get apporved,. I'll still have to wait 2-3 months for my surgery. Sorry to bring everybody down, just feeling pretty low right now. At least it's Friday, and I planned a trip to Paradise Landing water park in Milwaukee for the family on Sat night.  In the morning I have to go for more bloodwork, and get mine and my 3 girls' haircuts.  Busy weekend. Thanks Monica! I called Insurance again today to see if they approved it yet, and I got passed around again. Customer service get the original request and then it is supposed to go to some care coordination group, but both departments claim that it's no longer in their system. So I called the surgeon's office again to have her fax it to this new department. Now it will take a few more weeks to get processed. I am so frustrated on top of all my other stuff going on.  Allison
