Friday Roll Call

An early happy weekend to everyone in Lincoln Land. I am at work at the present and have the office to myself for the day, I think. One of the other girls might be in as she needed part of Wednesday morning off due to a family emergency. She makes up all of her time. Anything going on special with any of you today? Not much for me other than work and then we will go out for our "date night" later. Dave is currently down at Moody Bible Institute volunteering at their annual fund drive for Moody Radio, WMBI FM 90.1 locally to Chgo. You can also listen to them on the 'NET which is what we do a lot. Have a few things planned for tomorrow and Sunday. I probably will go up to the hospital on Sunday to visit Jim. He is still making baby steps. Been getting some soft pudding types of food and he can talk a little. Still has a little anxiety issues but has been given mental tools to help him through that. Yes its finally friday!! And st pattys weekend!! Going out tonight to celebrate!! Tomorrow have  a birthday party to go to then the guy I have been talking to is coming over to hang out!!

Not a whole lot going on here. Just got to work about half an hour ago even though I'm not due in till 8:15. I like to check out the boards and see whats going on.

Well tomorrow is D-day #1. Start of my all liquid pre-op diet. I am so terrified of it I have been crying on and off all day (I'm a big baby). I hate feeling hungry and it makes me sick to my stomach. I just don't know if I can battle through the hunger pains for 10 full days. I'm worried that I am going to get weak and pass out. Then I find out yesterday that I am going to have to have my wisdom teeth taken out as soon as reasonably possible because I have beginning stages of gum disease. It runs in my family, my mom had dentures at 30 and my grandma had them at 32. I take good care of my teeth and Im so frustrated that this is happening. The treatment to prevent and try to stop it is so expensive I don't know that I can afford it and my insurance only covers a bit of it.
No use in worrying about everything at once, now i'm just going to focus on my surgery and hope this takes me to a place where I can control my finances better, then after healing I can look at trying to get my mouth issues in order.

But anyway, HAPPY FRIDAY ALL!!!

Just focus on the prize at the end of the tunnel and that being WLS. You can get through the liquid diet. No one has died from it. Start thinking of things to help you get through it like doing a crafty thing, cleaning a closet, cabinet (if you are physically able) and get a head start on spring cleaning, surf the internet, sit down and organize things in the house or at work. Make plans for future exercise. You will be amazed at how strong mentally and physically you are. Chris

Happy Friday folks! Had an early meeting at work today. But tonight is the big deal. We are going to a fundraiser for Rock Valley College where we have to dress like 50's Prom! I would never have done this at my old weight! I bought a red haired wig with a flip hairstyle and horn-rimmed glasses, pink, with rhinestones. When I was sixteen I was given a white fox fur capelet by my grandmother who thought all young ladies should have such a thing and I will be wearing it for the FIRST time tonight. At 16 I wouldn't have been caught dead in such a thing! Even in the 50's! My ex mailed it to me and it was in the same box I got it in! What a hoot! We'll take pictures and see if I have enough guts to show them to you!

Good Morning Chris and the rest of my IL family.
today I have a lot to do....no work though so that helps. 

I have to do laundry, give Phantom a bath, pack for the weekend, Jacob and I will be spending the night at a hotel close to the racetrack tomorrow night, when Tyler gets home, I have to take him to buy track shoes, return and exchange some things at Dick's sporting goods, get Tyler's haircut....then home and when Jacob gets home from his Friday Night Fun Spot at the middle school I will buzz his head. 

I really should get going actually...LOL

Hi everybody ! I am going to try to wrap up getting all of my medical records today. I work 16 hours Saturday and Sunday so not much of a weekend for me. I try to work like that so I can have most of the week off with my kids. It is so sunny in my neck of the woods... Its about time !! Have a great weekend everybody !   Amy

Good morning my Illinois friends! Change of plans for my husband. The hospital is on bypass...they have no beds so his cardiversion is being postponed. They hope to get him in on Sunday. He is so disgusted by this but it is out of his hands. Hopefully this will get done soon.  No real plans for this week-end. Hope everyone has a great week-end!
