What sort of restrictions are you on after surgery as far as lifting and things like that?

I will be checking with Dr Rantis as well, but would like to hear what others went through....thanks!!

Monica, I had Dr. Guske, and with Lapband, he really didn't have any restriction except rest. I am sure all the Drs at the Kane Center have thier own list. A little advice, don't overthink everything. Just take one day at a time. LISA

Good morning Monica. I had Dr. Guske and I think it is 20# limit. You probably will go home with a drain that's attached to a small plastic bottle. I tucked mine under my pants with a safety pin. They will give you a drain holder that's like a cloth necklace to attach your drain when you take your first shower at the hospital. I can tell you that the shower feels wonderful and there is someone with you to help and in case you get dizzy. Lucy

Hi Monica, I think it was like nothing over 20...but I laughed at that. I was pretty weak after surgery and wasn't doing any heavy lifting at all...but that was just me. As the doc, I'm sure you will get all the do's and don'ts before you have your surgery.
