WTF HAVE I DONE ?? (grouchy post, I need help)

Some days I feel like " what in the hell am I doing "? My nutritrionist increased my diet to soft foods.. Yay! I have found that eating is more of a chore now.. not something I look forward to but something I have to do. I feel crappy most days due to lack of energy because I am not eating.. I have been forcing myself to do this so that I can feel better. Did anyone else struggle with this ? I am surviving off of Wendys chilli and Propel water.. Everything else makes me dump or just dry heave for a very long period of time.. at times I have regrets.. hell I am not gonna lie.. and thats only because at a month out I feel like sh*t on a stick most days.. the surgery was successful... even after the flu last week I have lost 50lbs in less than 1 month but due to low energy and a pulled muscle under my left incision I cannot go to the mall and enjoy the fruits of my loss. PLEASE, tell me this gets better and yes I am somehow getting the majority of my vitamins in and my fluids are fine (people seem to think that vitamin intake is the magic solve all) well guess what.. if your ass aint eating it dont f*cking matter. I need some encouragement please. I feel so damn grouchy and angry all the time.... so not like me. Sorry, I am not trying to come across as a cry baby or a psycho b*tch.. I am just really disappointed with some aspects of my journey right now and second guessing myself right now. Jazz

Jasmin, I am sooo sorry you are having buyer's remorse. I don't know if this post will help but please believe me this too shall pass. What you are feeling is perfectly normal. WOW. Look at all the weight you have lost and in such a short period of time. You need to remember that that is the reason you had surgery to begin with. Have youtried the protien shakes so you can get some nurisment? Not all of them are bad tasting and even if they are so the f___ what. The protien is what you need for energyand stamina. Go on the OH RNY forum and talk to the people there. They will help you . Keep your chin up and things WILL GET BETTER.

Yes, many people have the "buyer's remorse" that you are experiencing. I promise you that it does get better. Right now you are dealing with being tired, frustrated with all the details of your new life, overwhelmed. You still have the aneastesia in your system and may still be there for another couple of weeks. Christine

It gets better. i would say the first few months were the hardest. It is a huge adjustment and it can be frustrating at times and seem like it will never get better. dont worry i broke down a few times in first few months. hang in there

((((HUGS)))) Jazz - I'm sorry your going thru a hard time.  It does get better sweetie and before you know it, this is will be a distant memory.  Stick it out, experiment with some different foods.  It sounds like your lacking protein so I would really try some different shakes if you can't do chicken or other meats yet.  I am always slugish if I'm lacking protein. You came to the right place to vent and get support.  And like the other poster said, "This too shall pass". Christina

IT does get ruff at times.  I wasnt eating in the begining either.  I was actaully on a food bag because I was unable to eat.  IT does suck and alot of things made me sick as well.  I was always drinking at least one protein shake a day! Isnt propel water to much sugar?  I think I would **** myself if I drank to much of that lol.  It does get better.  Take it from someone who went thru hell and back with my surgery.  I didnt get really back on my feet for months.  You just got to remember things WILL get better.  It may suck at the moment but trust me, you will be good!

Guys, Thanks so much for the advice and allowing me to vent.... I so needed it...LOL. I have no other choice but to take it from the Vets thats this too shall pass. I am taking it day by day and I think the best thing is learning new foods.. even though some of it makes me sick.. and yes.. I agree the lack of protein is a horrible thing.. I will try my best to chug down the bullets or try water with the powder.. cuz milk is making me ... also my Nut suggested Propel.. I can keep this down with no problem.. Water by itself  I noticed in week 2 would cause me to dump.. I drink alot of hot tea with equal and the Propel... Thanks again guys. Jazz

I just tried a cup of hot cocoa and some Jay Robb chocolate protein powder and it tasted good--no yucky powder taste. If you are good with warm liquids, you might want to ty that. I picked mine up at GNC, I think. Nicolle
