Saturday Roll Call

Good morning Illinois-it is a chilly one!   SO GLAD to see things looking up for Jenn, Chris B and Barry-family worries are the worst!  And teen age daughters keep hair dye companies in business! Nothing much here-Eddie's surgery has been switched from the left to the right hand as new pics show he has severe bone deterioration in that hand  also and they want to get at it before it turns ugly like the left did before his knee fell apart.  Then  when the right hand heals they will do the left one. It looks like another 12 -16 weeks of togetherness!  I got my brace for my foot today and am trying to get used to it-it does help me to be able to use my cane to displace  the weight off my left hip so it isn't as sore-  I  got another shot in it today  and I am really hoping it works this time.   We're  planning a low key week-end-hope every one has a great one-Big hugs-Janet K P. S.  Dr. Rantis took out 1cc of saline from my band so I am able to eat solids again-I lost 2 1/2 lbs-so we're making progress-slowly but surely.  It is SO nice not to make the novena to the porcelain god all day-I should have gone sooner but it was so crazy between Eddie and his family problems, that I put me on the back burner. That's why I dye my hair blonde-not too bright at times!

Good Morning Everyone!!!  Yes, you are seeing me check in before noon.  I was so tired last night I went to bed early and woke up around 3:30 with my joints aching.  It looks like the prediction of snow did not materialize.  It has been a long week and I still need to get a ton of things done. Today on my schedule I am going to clean out my bedroom and slay the dust bunnies.  I have an appointment for an eye exam at 1pm.  I need new glasses and contact lenses.  I then have to do homework and few other things. Well all stay warm

Good morning Janet and the rest of the frozen Illinois Board. Janet, you are a cute blond. I needed to color my hair this morning, but it stays black. I haven't had the nerve to try any other color. Maybe as it grays more I will. Wendy, sounds like you will be busy all day, and Carol, spoil those grandkids. I will be seeing mine tonight. Janet, I hope Eddie gets through all this, you too. There is a brighter tomorrow. I have started making 15 lbs of BBQ for my SIL party tonight. I wanted to do it yesterday, but didn't get to the store until afternoon. We will be heading for Bloomington later this afternoon. This is craft weekend for me, I want to catch up my lapband scrapbook, and work on my rug. I finished one project yesterday, thats why I was late getting to the store.  Everyone have a great day, cold, but sunny. Hugs

Hey Illinois!  Happy Saturday Morning! So glad things are looking up for everyone!  Big sighs of relief all around!  I'm sipping on my morning coffee watching the snow come down !   At least they're predicting temps in the 50's next week!  I'm ready!  Well, I'm on day 5 of the pouch test and am feeling great.  Don't get me wrong, it sure wasn't  a cake walk, but I think I've got the carb monster better under control and I can definitely feel my pouch more than I did a week ago.  I've thought I was hopeless, but recognize the tool is still there!  I think this eating thing will be a lifelong struggle for me, who loves food !  Have 3 papers to write for my classes I'm taking but plan to spend some time with DH today.  We haven't done anything fun together for the last week.  Maybe ice skating on our lake or cross country skiing in the woods.  Make it a great day Illinois friends!

Good morning Janet, great to see you! Also good morning to the rest of the board! I am home in the quiet right now and it IS nice.  I have riden the stationary and done a half an hour of yoga, had my breakfast and vitamins, so now I need a shower to get this day really started. The boys went to Sterling for the day and I am trying to decide if we should Spring Clean Liv's room, or go to a movie.......mmmmmmmmmmmm????  It will be interesting to see which I choose.  I suppose it depends on her attitude when she awakens.  Maybe we could get BOTH done! My dinner with my friend was really fun and we were home early.  Gotta love that.  When we got back into town, we met some more friends downtown and hung out for a bit, but I was home and in bed by 11. Glad to hear all the good news on the board, that is really wonderful. We move the clocks ahead tonight, so maybe Spring will arrive eventually........ Everyone have a lovely day and stay warm!

Good morning Janet and everyone,

Well things aren't going as planned for us today.  Dh, who drives a truck over the road, has broken down twice this week.  He called at 3am to tell me that his truck wouldn't start and he was freezing.  I of course didn't go back to sleep right away.

We have a wedding to attend today, but there's no way for him to make it.  I know that this is killing him.  When he was 16, he got a job working at Mcdonalds.  Well, he made friends with several people there and to this day they all remain friends.  Everyone of them traveled to TN for our wedding and we of course came up here for theirs.  Now, this is the last of them to get married.  She always said she would never marry, but now at age 43 she found her Mr Right and is walking down the isle for the first time.  Jimmy is trying everyway in the world to make it, but he is south of ST Louis and the wedding starts at 2:30. My daughter just walked in and asked where her dad was.  I told her he was south of ST Louis and she said "oh good, he is in IL".  One day my husband told her he just passed the arch, and she thought he was talking about McDonalds.  I know they teach this stuff in school, but for some reason it doesn't get thru to her.  I really want to ask if she is that stupid, but for now I just let it go til I calm down then I will try to educate her.  I better start getting ready and now I have to give a geography lesson.  Janet, I'm saying a prayer for Eddie today.  Have a great weekend IL ~Michelle

Good Morning Janet and the rest of my Il family!

It's late for me checking in today, but I got up and decided today I would clean out my closet.  I took over 2 hours and I have about 3 boxes of things for GoodWill.  I put my clothes in order of size....lol
I also spent time looking at the old things from the boys and stuff like that. 

Now I am getting ready to head to my sister's house and help her with my neice's first "friends" birthday party.  Celia will be 7 on the 13th.  I have no idea what I have gotten myself into with 8 screaming little girls!!  I am not used to that at all.  Give me a room full of boys and I am fine!

No plans for tonight, other than rest after I get home!  lol

Dave and I are at church right now to serve the production lunch to the team, we will stay for the evening service and then possibly go out with some friends for dinner. Not much else going on with us as I am enjoying my R 'n R from ABMC.  Tomorrow I have a family baby shower then I will go up and spend time with Jim. Dave has all the food frozen that I will take over to the SIL car and place in a cooler for her. Chris
