Jim - update (and Dave)
Well, today is a day of celebration! I just got back from seeing Jim and what an improvement from yesterday. He was conscious, little frustrated that he could not talk (but I could understand that he said he wanted to talk after I told him he did not have to try), HE DOES NOT HAVE A BLOOD CLOT, WOOHOO
but he has gout which is not surprising because his kidneys were not functioning well because of the diabetes, his hair was combed, he had been out of bed earlier in the day and wanted to get out again while I was there. . . This man is a fighter and will get better. He does not know yet that he will have to go to rehab to learn to swallow, eat, and talk again because of the trac. in his throat. But he is so strong willed . . . should I say more?
I am tired, weary, and need a day off from going to the hospital. Tomorrow is my day for that. I have many things on my agenda and there are other people that have stepped up to the bat to be there during the day with my SIL.
Now, onto Dave - he does not have a blood clot. We should have thought of that because he is on 7mg of Coumadin a day - go figure we are dingbats, over tired and cannot think straight. What happened is that during that big snow, approx Feb 21st he snow blowed and beat up his right thigh real bad, had a contusion and the thigh swelled up big. This morning he was black 'n blue from above the knee down to his toes. I mean he was as blue as Violet on Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory movie. What happened in a nutshell is that his muscle bled out for a long time due to the Coumadin, probably a quart worth. Because he was on his feet yesterday all day all that blood utilized the gravity that God created and went southward. He will be fine.
Whoops, we have to get ready to go out. I will finish this later but this is what has been going on in a nutshell.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
