Good Friday Morning Illinois Friends... TGIF!!!!
I got to bring my Serenity home yesterday! It was amazing we both cried all the way home! She said about 5 mins after we left... Mom I'm crying... I asked her if she was OK... She said I'm just SO happy, and starting listing her blessings, and then saying how sorry she was for everything.. I was sobbing, telling her I loved her and that everyone makes mistakes and how hard it is to watch your children make mistake that you know will cause them pain... She started thanking her step dad as well and he got teary eyed we had to pull over for hugs.... I am SO happy she is home! We are on a new journey as a family... I have another busy day... Water class at 9, take Serenity for intake to start out patient at 10:30, hubby has back therapy at 11:30, 1:00 a case manager is coming to the house, we have a meeting with the Pastor at 3:45 and open christian mic tonight at church... Then I will be SO happy to see my bed!
Barry thought of you yesterday and kept you in prayer.... Chris I hope there is some improvement with you brother Jim....
Thinking of ALL of you.... Have a safe and blessed Friday everyone! Love Jenn

Morning Illinois and Jenn!      After yesterday, I am surprised I am awake right now.  I got to spend the whole day with my daughter, and this afternoon I am going to Boston to see my nephew (oh yeah and his parents).  It is going to be busy, and the fact my little girl woke me up at 5 this morning doesn't make it easier, but I will take being tired so I can have her.       Today I will probably take a nap, and finish getting some stuff out of my car.  I also need to do laundry and pack this morning as well for both of us to go to Boston.      Well have a good day and hopefully I will stay awake (it doesn't feel like it at the moment though)

Jenn,

I'm so glad to hear the good news about Serenity.  It must be wonderful to have her home.

Barry, have a great trip  with your daughter.  Congratulations on your victory.  We want to hear about your sisters reaction to the new you when you get back. Chris, I know you'll update us on Jim when you get a chance.  Take some time for yourself this weekend to just relax (easier said than done, I know).  I continue to pray for Jim and your family. Well, I need to leave for work in 15 minutes and I'm still in my robe.  Would it be so horrible if your banker came to work in pjs, no makeup, and hair in ponytail?  We need a new look in professional wear.  Okay, okay, I'm getting ready... Have a Happy Friday Everyone ~Michelle

Janet,

Oh how I miss my nsaids and excederin...The pain manager person at the hospital recommended pain patches for my chronic back pain.  While, I feel that they don't make the patch big enough, they do work for the pain.

I don't know if this is an option for you, but I just thought I would put it out there.

Thanks Michelle, you know I never thought about that, I will have to ask my Dr. about the patch. He does want to put something like a lubricant in my knee instead of Cordazone , I just need to see if it is covered by my Ins. comp. and maybe that will help.

That sounds promising.  I have often wondered if they made anything like that.  I have felt like the tin man for years and just thought if I only had an oil can...a few squirts here and there would do the trick.  Keep us posted.

Good Morning Il friends

Oh Jenn, just reading what happened with Serenity brought tears to my eyes.  I am SO happy for you and your family.  I wish things would change around here with my stepson, it's hard, but we'll get through it too.
Barry, waiting to hear about yesterday, I thought about you and was praying that you were able to spend the day with your daughter.
Chris, praying Jim is still doing well.

As for me today...well I have no work, so I will be cleaning out my closet and working on homework.  When Tyler and Jacob come home, I will be taking them to their dad's for the weekend.
Nothing too exciting for me...lol

I hope everyone has a wonderful, safe and warm day!

I am so happy to hear about Serenity!  I wish you both the best because the journey is just beginning, but I'm sure you both will pull through and be all the stronger for it So yesterday was my day off and I spent it getting my pre op testing done so that it could be faxed to my doc.  I had to have 180,000 vials of blood drawn (ok, so thats a bit exaggerated) a chest xray and an echocardiogram.  See, i always thought you just needed the EKG where they hook up the leads to you and do a print out of your hearts activity, and so did the tech, but he said it was written for me to get an entire heart echo done which is the ultrasound that takes about 45 minutes.  I was a bit uncomfortable because I had to lay on my left side the entire time and I am blessed "up top" and the tech of course was an older guy who was trying to make small talk the entire time while basically feeling me up .  Ok, so again, another exaggeration, he was a pretty nice guy, but still! When I got to work this morning at 7:30 I had an email from maryann at the docs office saying she got my labs back already and everything was perfect except that I had a UTI.  So she is calling in some antibiotics. Last night was a tough night.  My son wouldn't sleep and my husband was very vocal about it.  See, right now I am the only one working so its a silent agreement that he gets up with Ashton and takes care of him throught he night so that I can sleep.  Well last night, farthest thing from it!  I went to bed about 10:30, was awoken several times up until 3:00am when I was woken up completely and wasn't able to get back to sleep until quarter after 5, well I gotta be up at 6, so the extra time may have just made me more tired.....SIGH.  So today I am relying on coffee to get me through, but because I am trying to lose some weight for my pre op appointment I am drinking it black with just a touch of sweet n low.  The 25th is coming up so fast, I'm starting to get cold feet, but I just have to try to be strong and look to you all for encouragement and success stories. HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!
