Good morning everyone in Lincoln Land!! Get out of you heads! My sister got to my house safe and sound at about 3pm yesterday. We waited for her youngest daughter to get to my house and we all went over to the hospital. Jim is doing pretty good but has pneumonia right now and they are treating that. I figured that he would develope it. The lung is slowly healing. His sedation meds have been tweaked slightly and they have him under a little more so he does not thrash around as much. He opened his eyes for Mary. They are talking about starting to bring him out of the coma maybe on Monday.  Not doing much myself today but straighten up the house after our fondue party last night. Just have my good glasses to hand wash and then put them and my dishes away. Then I probably will go over to the nursery in Bloomingdale and get some suet blocks for the birds. I had a red headed woodpecker yesterday in my yard. I also have Chickadees that have finally come back after West Nile virus whipped them out. Hope the crows do not come back, they died off with the virus also. I also have several mating pairs of cardinals and several red breasted nuthatches that frequent my feeders. Except the starlings came back yesterday after being gone over the winter; yuck I cannot stand those birds as I do not like red winged black birds or grackles (the black, black birds). Those birds will eat you out of house and home. I have my adjustable feeder set to close when they light on it. Mary will come and go as she likes today and tomorrow she will go back home. She is going to dinner to see her grandkids later today and I will just lounge around later. Have a great day.  Chris

Good Morning Chris & IL - Good to here a positive report about Jim.  One day at a time Chris..

It appears that it's going to be another nice day today.  Nothing big going on.  I have to pick-up/drop off some dry cleaning and then work tonight.  Nothing more on my agenda other then a little bit of cleaning around the house. Hope everyone has a wonderful, relaxing day. Christina

Good morning Chris & Illinois. Nothing much planned around here.  I feel like a slug lately.  The back and shoulders aren't letting me do much.  I checked for water aerobic places, and right now can't afford it.  Why do gyms have to be so high? Chris, still saying prayers for your brother. Looks like Renee joins us on the losing bench tomorrow.  Good luck Renee. Jenn hon, if you need to talk, just holler. Everyone else, hope you have a wonderful Sunday. Dee p.s.  Southern Illinois has bad weather coming in on Monday night into Tuesday.  YUCK!!

Good Morning Chris and the rest of the board. How I evny you, being able to see your feeders and able to watch the birds. Our yard is taken up with a pool, and the lot is small. Plus no window is convient to watch out of, so needless to say, we don't feed birds.  I have a few projects that I want to work on today, nothing to serious. Just getting things together for the week. Also want to do something with chicken breast tonight for dinner.  Hope everyone gets outside a bit today, its already sunny, and suppose to be warmer, like 50. You need to enjoy it while we can, its suppose to turn yuck again this week. Have a great Sunday. Hugs

I was jus****ching the birds from my computer. This morning there are piles of chickadees and house finches as well as red breasted nuthatches, downeys and a red-bellied woodpecker. The goldfinches are starting to look a bit more yellow, a promise of spring!. There are cardinals and morning doves on the ground. We have some new feeders that the bigger birds can't get in, so we're not getting the annoying birds right now.

No plans really for today. I'll probably knit. It is soothing.

Hope the news is good for everyone who is struggling or concerned about family and friends

Good morning Illinois. I'm home from Michigan City. I didn't win anything but had a good time anyway. The weather is superb. I love the sunshine and warmth. I hope it melts some of the ice I have. Not much going on other than household chores and cooking some chicken breast for the week. Wishing everyone a fun and enjoyable Sunday. Hugs, Lucy  In The Pool

Good afternoon everyone in Illinois! My husband and I went for a nice walk already. The wind was a little nippy, but now I feel revitalized! I only wish that the weather wasn't going to be changing again so soon. Oh, well, not much we can do to change the weather.  Tomorrow is my last weigh-in of my 6 month supervised diet. I have so many questions for the Dr's staff now. I've got to bring in my food/calorie  and exercise journals.  Hopefully the wait for approval will not be too long. I am soooo excited! I want to be a loser! Must be crazy...who wants to be a loser?   I hope everyone is having a great week-end!  Later....

Hey Illinois, Was out the door by 8:30a.m. to head to Aurora to do a group project for my graduate class.  Got home around 4:00p.m., with a quick stop at Fresh Market for baby portabellas...Steak on the grill with roasted potatoes/mushrooms/shallots and a green salad...yum!  Tomorrow there's no school for Casimir Pulaski Day so it's out to the Y, meeting a friend for lunch, shopping at the Glen and then home for the evening.  Will try to make a special dinner for DH. Hope all is well with everyone and that you all had a chance to enjoy this beautiful day!
