Sunday Roll Call
Good morning everyone in Lincoln Land!! Get out of you
heads!
My sister got to my house safe and sound at about 3pm yesterday. We waited for her youngest daughter to get to my house and we all went over to the hospital. Jim is doing pretty good but has pneumonia right now and they are treating that. I figured that he would develope it. The lung is slowly healing. His sedation meds have been tweaked slightly and they have him under a little more so he does not thrash around as much. He opened his eyes for Mary. They are talking about starting to bring him out of the coma maybe on Monday.
Not doing much myself today but straighten up the house after our fondue party last night. Just have my good glasses to hand wash and then put them and my dishes away. Then I probably will go over to the nursery in Bloomingdale and get some suet blocks for the birds. I had a red headed woodpecker yesterday in my yard. I also have Chickadees that have finally come back after West Nile virus whipped them out. Hope the crows do not come back, they died off with the virus also. I also have several mating pairs of cardinals and several red breasted nuthatches that frequent my feeders. Except the starlings came back yesterday after being gone over the winter; yuck I cannot stand those birds as I do not like red winged black birds or grackles (the black, black birds). Those birds will eat you out of house and home. I have my adjustable feeder set to close when they light on it.
Mary will come and go as she likes today and tomorrow she will go back home. She is going to dinner to see her grandkids later today and I will just lounge around later.
Have a great day.

Good Morning Chris & IL - Good to here a positive report about Jim. One day at a time Chris..
It appears that it's going to be another nice day today. Nothing big going on. I have to pick-up/drop off some dry cleaning and then work tonight. Nothing more on my agenda other then a little bit of cleaning around the house. Hope everyone has a wonderful, relaxing day. Christina
I was jus****ching the birds from my computer. This morning there are piles of chickadees and house finches as well as red breasted nuthatches, downeys and a red-bellied woodpecker. The goldfinches are starting to look a bit more yellow, a promise of spring!. There are cardinals and morning doves on the ground. We have some new feeders that the bigger birds can't get in, so we're not getting the annoying birds right now.
No plans really for today. I'll probably knit. It is soothing.
Hope the news is good for everyone who is struggling or concerned about family and friends
Connie
