A bit of a downer day
Revision on 04/19/13
As I stated earlier today, I had a couple of Dr. visits today. It started by seeing Dr. Hart's NP, Marolyn. I asked how long did she think I would be on the cpap
machine. Her answer was probly the rest of my life. Apparently they feel with my other health issues, I will never get the numbers where they want them. Also, I take it off in the middle of the night, not realizing that I do it, until morning.
We then go to see Dr. Guskie. I am in a stall, did not lose one pound this past month. I must be losing some inches, since some of my clothes are starting to look big to me. So, I got a fill, I am up to 5.2 cc's.
I did have a small nsv today. DH has never been to a Portillos, so I decided that is where we would go for lunch. No big deal, we both had a cup of chili, and he had a jumbo dog and a diet coke, The nsv was I was able to fit in the booth! That is something I havent done in a few years. It did give me a good feeling.
BTW, for down staters, Portillos is a 50's style hot dog, beef, and hamburger joint, that is all over the Chicago suburgs.
Hugs,
Hi Lisa -
I'm sorry your day was a downer. Look at the good in the situation. You did not gain any weight, you maintained. I know it's frustrating but we all go thru this from time to time. It stinks but it's life. I'm sure your still losing inches. Congrats on the WOW at Portillos. That's wonderful.
Even though the say you "probably" will be on the cpap for the rest of your life, you never know. As you continue to lose or once you get to goal it maybe a different story. Keep positive.
Hugs,
Christina
Hey Lisa,
Sorry about the news. I know the doctor's know best, but I think you may be suprised to see if you loose alot of weight and try to keep the mask on, you can suprise the doctor and get off the cpap. Can you inform me abit about the band. What kind of band did you have put in and how many cc's?
