Anyone in the Yorkville or Plano area?

I need to make friends out here!  I have online friends, but I haven't lived out here long and it would be nice to have someone (or multiple someones) to go to lunch with, or to the mall, or to the park, or the zoo (I have a 15 month old daughter), or wherever! Nice weather is coming and it's a lot more fun to hang out with other people than just me and my daughter all the time!

I am close to you... I am in the Oswego - Aurora area.  Right off of route 34, so it is just a short drive to Yorkville.  I had to drive to Yorkville once and it was a nice drive.   It took me about 20-25 minutes. 

I have 2  8 year olds (actually they will be 8 tommorrow).   I know how it feels to know not a soul out here.  When we moved out here from the suburbs 5 years ago I was so lonely, and everyone I knew from back home treated this area like it was a foreign country.   It does get better I promise.   There are alot of things out here that are very kid friendly.  I live about 3 miles from the mall.   And can I just say I LOVE Shopping.   My husband rolls his eyes and cringes whenever I mention the mall.  I totally understand the need to be with adults sometimes.   I used to say I needed to talk to someone over 2 feet tall.

I go to the Meijer on 34 in Oswego.  I seriously am going crazy out here.

OMG I know the feeling.   And it is so quiet out here.   I could not sleep for the longest time b/c it was way too quiet.    I seriously live in the meijer, as well as the Old Navy, and Childrens Place.   I love the Lane Bryant in that strip.   Tim and I were just at Meijer, Dicks and Target today.   I work with a girl who lives in Plano.  She is a total hoot and she has young kids.    When the weather breaks I want to start walking outside in the Am.  There is a really nice, cheap zoo that is good for the kids by me.  And Oswego has a ton of stuff to do for families around the holidays.  Gina

Yep there is a zoo in Aurora!    Phillips zoo is on Montgomery road.  If you take Ogden all the way up to Montgomery and go left it is about 3 miles down the road.  About 25 minutes or so from you.  They also have a pool, golf course and the whole works.   I have pictures if you want to see them.  They have a really cool Mastadon museum there also.  BTW 171 turns in Ogden after Oswego high school.  Sorry it took so long to write back, I have had company all weekend long.
