Saturday Roll Call

Good morning all. The forecast says 100% of sunshine today, so we are going to need the little smiley guy's shades. Not much sleep for me last night as after we got home from the play and dinner late then I got up a short while ago. Need to hit the floor running today with errands, Dave is finishing up the taxes, 1 year old party  in McHenry,  and then back home to clean up again and go to my employee appreciation dinner.  My brother is struggling. His kidneys from his type II diabetes and the surgery are not functioning well.  He is not a large man, just has a small beer gut. My father's family happily shared the diabetes gene with us, my dad had it also as I from my MO. Also the remaining portion of his right lung collapsed yesterday and they needed to do a broncoscopy in the room to see why. My SIL called and left a message that she is glad I did not come because he was feeling poorly. I am going to skip today and go on Sunday. I can check in with the family at home and get info and leave messages also. Well, I need to get and up for the day. (I wish they had more smileys, these are getting boring). I do not like the free web smileys because they caused slow down issues with my computer when I downloaded them.  & Christine

Good morning Christine and Illinois.  I have no idea what the weather is gonna be like here, but as long as it is no more ice, I will be happy. Christine, I am sure your brother will do fine, scary though.  He is still in my prayers. I have no idea what I am gonna do today, I would like to get out of the house for a bit, but I am scared of falling.  I hurt my back again lifting my mom.  I guess my days of lifting her are over. I am still working on hubby for the April party, but like he said, it depends on what the doctors say about his legs. Have a great day!

Good morning Christine, Dee and Illinois! The sun is shining and I can't wait to get outside today. I think I will make a visit to Kohl's and see what is on sale.  No special plans this week-end. Ladies, thanks for the prayers. I know the power of prayer as it helped me in '91 when I was ill and the doc said all that could be done at that time was pray and wala - here I am today. Chris

Good Morning Illinois, The sun is shining, even if it is cold today, its nice. If it warms up a bit. I want to take the car for a bath and clean up. Thats something the  DGD can help me with. We made cookies yesterday, apack from the dairy section of the grocery store, you know, the break apart and bake kind. I was good, I only ate one while they were hot.  Today will be a trypical Saturday, chores and errands. No plans.  Christine, your brother will be fine. There is always a few minor setbacks on the road to healing.  Dee, I am sorry your back is bothering you again, and I hope the doctor gives your DH a clean bill of health.  Last night I found out that Morgan no longer believes in Santa Claus. She has known but did not tell her parents, so that they could keep up the pretense of it. I guess she is growing up Christne, I downloaded Smiley Central. It didn't slow my computer at all.  (Yes I know, I have a new computer) Hugs,

Good Morning Friends! Well, I am ready for spring!!  Today, I am trying to start getting the house cleaned, then I might go to Gurnee Mills for a walk and see what I can find on sale.  I need to finish my state taxes, pay my bills, and then do my daughters (she says "shes got people) taxes.  Then, I have tons of homework to get caught up on as I am now behind as I had troubles with last weeks assignments.   Chris, I have your brother in my thoughts.   well all, I am off and running.

As for me today, I am running some errands here in a bit and then working on framing up a bunch of pictures and finally hanging them up.  For some reason the last couple of weeks, I feel like I really need to get some organization in my house...lol 
I am also going to work on some homework, Medical Math, UGH!  Hopefully it won't be too bad.  Math and I don't get along. 

Other than that I have nothing "planned" for today.

Good afternoon Illinois. Well we  had an interesting morning. My partner and I are going to a fund raiser for Rock Valley College here in Rockford on March 14. Our table has to dress up like 50's prom. So we went to the Party Store (after a cup of coffee at Cannoli Cafe for courage) and I bought a red flip wig and pink glasses with rhinestones. My partner found a brown flip and black glasses with rhinestones. She also got a fake fur shoulder wrap like my mother wore in the 50's and we got white gloves, too. What a hoot! After the party I'll put up some pictures. I never would have said yes to this before the band!

Out to dinner tonight at Brio! Looking really forward to it!

Good afternoon everyone! I've been going all day. Went to weigh****chers, got the car washed and had a visit with my sister for the rest of the day. Going to rest up this evening. Tomorrow no special plans. Next week will be very busy with lots of meetings at work. Christine, your brother is in my prayers!  Dee, I hope your DH gets well enough so that you can join us in April.
