personal care /state of illinois

Has anyone who works for the state of illinois.  Been able to get personal care to pay for lap band instead of gastric bypass.  They keep telling me they only pay for gastric bypass which I don't want to use.  Thanks

I work for the state of IL also and Quality Care through Cigna pays for the lap band but requires a six month supervised weight loss. If you sign in May for the July 1 change you can already have your six months done and be ready to start the process. If  you want to do this, PM me and I will give  you the exact things that need to be on the doctor's note in order to count as a medical weight loss.

Thanks it is a good idea to start now on the diet as most of them require that no matter what.  I had heard they discourage signing up for Quality Care as they are trying to faze it out.  But I will check that out.
