Don't Worry About Me!

Good morning my friends. After the Kane Support meeting on Saturday, I realized how many of you were worried about me since I haven't been on the boards for 2 weeks and with my depression, etc. First, I want to thank you for being my friend and caring about me. Seeing so many of you on Saturday did my heart good. The meeting itself was awesome. There was so much participation in sharing the concerns of a WLS post-op lifestyle. I know that I am not alone and I am not the only one going through the same situation. What I choose to do is really up to me. I have to be the one to make the right decision and stick with it. Positive attitude and a plan is paramount in success. So that is where I am today. Taking small steps will get me there. Being good to my pouch and feeding it the right nutrients, taking my vitamins, drinking water and not drinking with meals, and exercising is vital to my success. I promise to post everyday here on the daily roll call unless I am in an accident or otherwise not on this earth!  Support and sharing is key to my success and having friends like you will get and keep me there. For those of you who did not read the daily roll call for Sunday, I bought myself a new bikini for the summer. It's so cute - white with red strawberries on it, green ruffles with white polka dots and red strawberry charms on the side of the pants as well as the tie top of the bikini bra. I couldn't resist it. Best part was that it was inexpensive. I bought it as an incentive for me. So here I am bright and early Monday morning ready for the challenges of the day. We talked about having another get together. I am willing to offer my clubhouse again. April is a promising month. I doubt that we will have an ice storm. Let me know what you think! Hi Lisa. Thanks for your message. It's good to hear from you my friend. I do think April is good for most of us. It's before Mothers Day and graduations, etc. I'll start a separate post to see how everyone feels about a Saturday in April. Thanks Lucy

Hey Girlfriend.. If we did not love you so much, we would not worry.  I personally know how hard it is to fight depression so you are not alone.  I'm glad your on the right track to a healthier, happier you.  Just take things one day at a time. You do have many friends on these boards that love and miss you! Christina

First off Lucy, let me just say that I love you.  It was so good to see you on Saturday and be able to give you a real hug.

You have had a hard time lately and we are always here for you!  I have made such good friends here on OH and been lucky enough to meet some of them in person and I will hopefully get to meet a lot more as well.  Yes we need to get together again.   April sounds good, though I have to say...I am having surgery the week of March 24th sometime so if we could me it a little later in April that would be good.

Hey Lucy,

First I must say that your face lift is beautiful!!!!!  You are such a beautiful person inside and out!  I would love a get together soon!  Hopefully my surgery will be soon.  Next week I will be going part time and I will have more time to get together w/ people.  This is working out great because I need to be there for my dad.

Hi Kim. Thank you so much. I can understand the need to be there for your dad. I went through a lot with mine as he had end stage renal disease. I'd love to get together with you once you go part time and check your schedule. I have to say that I am so pleased with my facelift. Dr. Madry did an awesome job. He has been very good to me and for me. I will be having more PS but not right now. Now, I must focus on my pouch! Talk to you soon. Hugs, Lucy

It's so goo to see you posting again Lady!!!  I'm very glad you came to group on Saturday too. Woud love to have a get together.  I'm going to be out of town though April 11-19th.  Maybe we can plan something that doesn't fall on those dates?
