OT: Update on babysitting

Thank you to all of you that replied to my babysitting rates.  I am gonna see what is going on with my neck and shoulders first, and then probably start babysitting, last time I really charged for babysitting, I got a couple dollars an hour, boy oh boy, did I not charge enough..lol

I remember 50 cents an hour when I was a kid, boy inflation has set in. HAHA. Chris

Chiming in late as usual- in '99 my daughter had a preemie who came on 2 monitors and oxygen.  They wanted $1100 monthly for a special needs child.  I took infant and child CPR and she happily paid me $25 a day when I had him.  She worked 3-4 days a week and he was mine until she felt some burning need to educate him and sent him off to school.  (Just playin')  In '03 I watched my youngest starting from 16 wks and i charged $20 a day.  She had been spending $250 -300 wkly at a center in the bldng she worked in.  Day care can charge Carte Blanche.  Just make sure you take a quick Red Cross course in CPR- and you don't need to be licensed.  Good luck-Hugs-Janet K
