Saturday Roll Call
Christina and Calvin GM to both of you. Drive safely and enjoy that granddaughter later on.You are correct on the weather, it is supposed to get crummy up in the Dells also. They got 9 inches on Thursday. The trees are really pretty but the driving was supposed to be horrible.
Well, today I am going for a massage at Chula, then we are driving to my niece's summer place up on Castle Rock lake, it is about 30 miles north of here. We walked around downtown Dells yesterday even though the wind chill was about 10 below. I have a long down coat on and was warm. We caught up with friends that own local establishments here. We also had our old time photo taken and our Christmas cards made for later this year. We also picked out our theme for the 2009 photo. Last night we drove to Baraboo and listened to an entertainer that usually plays a lounge right near where we are staying this trip. Listened to him for a while and then shared a meal and went back to the hotel. Our room has a jacquzzi, so you figure it out.
While Dave and I were sitting listening to the music last night Dave got his call for the arrangements for the second interview next Tuesday, locally. This time they are coming to him. We still feel that God has His whole hand over what is happening. WOW.
Yesterday my sister called me while we were at the photo place and told me that her and Dave used to work with the father of the NIU shooter. Dave saw him on the Fox news later and and yeap he knows him. In fact Dave called another work friend and told him who the father was and this guy said he had golfed with the dad, small world. My heart goes out to all involved. Dave and I know a lady from another WLS board and her daughter is in her freshman year at NIU. The mom brought her home for the weekend and of all things this student's grandma had died earlier that morning also. How sad for this young girl to experience this at such a young age.
The young lady was so home sick when she first got there and really did not want to be so far from home (60 miles), she is an only child.
Well, I need to enjoy the rest of my coffee and I want to surf the main board and see what drama is happening over there. It seems that the DS and RNY people have stopped battling for a while. It was really getting nasty a couple weeks back.

Success begins with wise choices I make,I will not let noncompliance be my mistake, The surgery I had was to assist me in changes. My compliance is for a success long range, So I will think before I decide to cheat. Remember the goals I want to meet. For this surgery is not something I was force to do It was what I wanted for a healthy life!
Good afternoon Illinois! We went shopping this morning at Catherine's. It will be nice to be able to have some other choices in the future. I did find a pair of brown pants on sale which match a jacket I bought from Coldwater Creek on sale. The pants and the jacket are both smaller than I have worn in probably five years! Big excitement! I also found a plain navy shirt and with the current $20 off coupon and the double perks I only spent $8.00! In terms of the navy shirt--why does Catherine's think everything fat people wear needs to be embroidered or decorated in some godawful manner? I don't get it!
Then we went to Cannoli Cafe where they are willing to serve me a half cup of tuna on a small bed of lettuce. Those people are so nice! We sat in the sun, drank coffee and read books and then ordered lunch--a nice day out. Altamore's is having a Valentine's salmon special tonight so we are taking a friend there to dinner. They are usually not open on the weekend unless it's special. Since I work late on Thursdays we rarely get to go there to dinner, but it's really a nice place.
Tomorrow we are planning on staying home. We have leftover ground buffalo from last night so I might make cabbage rolls and eliminate the rice.
Stay warm and enjoy the sun!
