Friday Roll Call

Good morning everyone. The end of the week is here! YAAHOO                                   Well, just a brief post here for me because I am blowing this popsicle stand and am out of here in a short while. I will be checking in over the weekend from time to time. After we drive up to the north woods and have breakfast at a small family run place in downtown Dells we are having our old fashioned yearly picture taken. It has been a tradition for us for several years. We really enjoy doing it and each year before we go we have looked at all of their sample pictures in the store front and pick out what theme we will do for the next picture. It is always an old fashioned fancy clothing one, not one of the silly gangster type of ones. Well need to talk at ya all later.    & Christine

Good morning!  Chris and Dave, have fun.  The old time picture sounds neat.  DH and I need to get out pictures done, we haven't had a picture done for about 2 years, and I still weighed 321 lbs. I have to go birthday shopping for Taylor today, and then DH is off this weekend, maybe we can catch a movie. Anybody down my way, would love to do lunch or a shopping spree.  Just let me know. Dee

Good Morning All - Just popping in quickly.. It's been a very busy week and I have not been able to get on-line hardly at all.  Everything is fine on our end, just busy.  We'll be in Indy for the weekend celebrating my granddaughter's birthday.  She was seven yesterday. Good Morning, the sun is out but it is cold. Now they are predicting snow again for Sunday.  Spring WILL Arrive! Christine, Christina and Dawn, have safe trips this weekend.  I am off work today, I donot work Fridays except for in the fall. I want to do house cleaning today, and hit the paperwork on my desk. I need to finish up the taxes, finish up my SS papers, and also finish up passport applications, so we can apply for them shortly. And in the process, clear my desk. This afternoon both DH and I have eye doctor appointments. I know I need a new script, since my heart surgery last spring, and  the Lapband this fall, My eyes are terrible. Then of course, using the computer all day at work doesn't help either.  I finished my protein coffee, so I am ready to get busy for the day. Catch everyone later. Hugs

Good morning everyone,

Sitting here watching the morning news.  Its scary that these are the kids in our neighborhoods.  I woke my daughter up last night because one of the kids shot (he is okay) was from Lindenhurst and has the same last name as one of Nicoles friends.  I woke her up to ask if he had an older brother, but she wasn't sure.  One of my co-workers has a daughter who goes there.  She was off yesterday, but we called her as soon as it happened.  She said her daughter was fine.  I'm curious to see if she will be at work, or if she went to Dekalb to pick her daughter up.  My baby starts college in the fall and its just a shame that we have to prepare them for these things. How was everyones Valentines?  Dh and I were going to watch a movie, but ended up going through my downloads from emails.  I have saved them so he can watch them all, but we notice the computer running slow, so time to delete.  He is leaving today to go back on the road (truck driver).  It might be a couple of weeks til I see him again.  I should be use to it, but I have to say it has been so nice having him home. Today is my long day at work.  I am so ready for a vacation.  I haven't even been back a month yet from surgery.  I just stay so tired.  I spoke to my mom yesterday.  She lives in TN.  She is sick and I feel so bad that I can't be there for her.  I haven't been home since last June and I don't have a vacation scheduled until May.  I wish we had presidents day off, so I could go for the weekend.  I can't complain, I do get 4 weeks vacation every year. Chris,  I can't believe that you have a 7 year old grandaughter.  Your picture looks like your in your 30's.  Looking good, grandma Christine, sounds like a fun weekend for you and Dave.  I hope you post your new picture for us all.  Think of all of us who will be working this weekend as you get your massage, oh and have a soak for me too.  Have fun! Thanks Michelle - I married into a beautifuly family so my daughters are actually my husbands from a previous marriage.  I am a young Nana.. I'm 37 but love every moment of it!  Now lets just say you having a college age child seems hard to beleive!  You look young too!

Good Morning Everyone,   I am up and getting ready to go do errands...I am going to the mall to look for some jeans and clearence clothes... I also need to return some shoes that don't fit... The weekend is open not much going on I am looking forward to next weekend DH and I are going to downtown see a play and a hotel my wonderful son got us that for Christmas we are seeing Jearsey Boys, I am so excited....I can't wait a whole night with no kids...I hope everyone has a great weekend Love Martha 

good morning IL, Not much going on here today, I did my workout and now watching the news about the shooting, It is just too crazy, what is wrong with people. Chris and Dave have fun in the Dells and drive careful, Hope eveyone has a good weekend enjoy the Sun today, it wont be here long.

Good morning Christine and the rest of Illinois! Travel safely and have a great time.  We are ready and also looking forward to a great time.  Christina and Calvin, please also travel safely. When we get back into town on Sunday, we have to do our annual Boy Scout swimming party in Freeport, so we are planning a very wet weekend.  It will be nice for me this year to actually participate.  I used to just sit on the sidelines and watch.  I hope the kids like the waterpark in the hotel that we have chosen.  My granddaughter, Riley is like her Aunt Liv, as she is a fish.  Riley's "future husband", the neighbor's son (Jack) is going to be there too and it may be his first exposure to a pool.  What fun! I am saddened about the NIU shooting.  I was actually crying in the car on the way in this morning.....it is just such a waste and so very sad. So far, everyone that we know that goes there or has kids there is safe.  Jack's mom attends NIU but was off yesterday. It sounds like Monica's appointments went well, what about Kim? How are our new post-ops doing?  Anyone heard? I am enjoying looking at the sunshine, wishing that it was warm.  Hopefully, Spring will arrive.  I sure hope we HAVE a Spring, and that it does not go immediately to Summer, like it did a few years ago....... Enough of my rambling......everyone enjoy your day and weekend!

 

Good morning Illinois!      First of all my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone and all their family of the students at NIU.  I have had many classes in that room when I went to NIU for two semesters.      I have lost 2 pounds since my adjustment, so I am down to 227!  200 is in sight!  I am off again today, so I will probably go to lunch with some friends.      I have already completed a house project, and installed a new shower head.  the old one had no pressure, so I got a good one.  the last one was a gift and probably from a dollar store.  It worked for a little while but then jammed up.  Oh well, I am manly now using wrenches and stuff.  I grunt now and show women I am all man! Ok that is enough, Keep it up people, us losers need to keep it going!  Remember your goal weight people and never lose sight of the prize!
